Ckd 2 confusion
Hi Viky…From what I read in your post, if it were me I’d believe your doctor over the internet. Every body is unique.
Vicky, my suggestion is to first accept and then stop the fear. Watch what you put in your mouth. I want to go to Stage 2 and then to Stage 1. I am listening to my kidney doctor and Dr. Sten Ekberg on YouTube. Bless you, thank you for the information, I will check with my doctor.
I understand your concern. We've all been there. To put your mind at ease, have you thought about getting a second opinion?
I think your doctor may have diagnosed you correctly. Kidneys usually don't have issues on their own - I wonder if he detected something like an underlying autoimmune situation that impacted your kidneys and your doctor treated that with steroids and successfully fixed the situation. You may want to have a nice discussion with your doctor regarding your medical history and what to keep on eye on in the future, if anything. Asking questions is free! And it's very good sign that your proteinuria situation is negative. Wonderful!
My nephrologist did few blood test ANA, C3,C4, all tests result came normal. But i have a bit of high uric acid previous reading was 10.6 but this time it improved now 9.2
Interesting. High uric readings can lead to gout. Gout is regarded as a form of autoimmune arthritis and can lead to heart and kidney issues. Your doctor may have noticed it rising and used cortisone to put it in its place. It worked - your kidney function is returning and your uric readings are improving. Often, autoimmune tests have false negative results and can be unreliable. So, it's really good that your doctor didn't ignore your high uric acid and implemented cortisone. It would be good to ask your doctor if he thinks this is responsible for your recent kidney issue, the potential for high uric readings to return, and how to prevent it - food choices, med choices, and more.
Yes my doctor didn't ignore uric acid, i him about whether my kidney issue is due to high uric acid or not. He replied it may be that's why he prescribed febuxostat which i took for about 8 weeks. Now my reports results are fine. My nephrologist said your are OK now.
