A lot has happened
The
steroids
have helped but I think I'm also disappointed I didn't get the steroid boost I wanted or usually get. The nurse told me if I find it hard to reduce to ring back again. So I think I will next week or the week after when I am off.

Herpes Zoster vaccination OK for me?
I've been on high doses of
steroids
since February (60mg). Now down to 17.5 mg. I've been recommended by the health board to have the Herpes Zoster vaccination prior to starting the biologic jabs. I recall that Zostavax , because it is a live vaccine, is not recommended, but Shingrix is OK.

tapering off steroids
Hello I'm currently tapering off 5mg Prednisolone, initiated a few years ago when I had Covid which was triggering my severe asthma. I don't need it anymore for that reason except I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency a few years ago. Recently seen an endocrinologist and had a short synacthen

Hot weather & getting nutrition right
I had pneumonia but to me it felt very weird because I was very hot & the doctors said my heart rate is above 120 & I was given
steroids
& antibiotics. I was struggling to stay cool & also struggling with what to eat that will keep me energised.

Prednisolone taper
I don't know if it's just a stomach bug or if it's low cortisol or if it's a side-effect of the
steroids
. I've contacted the endo nurse for advice but waiting for a reply. My asthma hasn't flared-up thankfully..! Anyone else had a similar experience?

I went to see my rheumatologist who suggested a short course of
steroids
. Would anyone be able to help me as to whether they work and help with joint pain and awful fatigue? I am always very reluctant to take medication but I am exhausted.

2nd failed FET solo journey 😢💔 seeking support/questions/tests I can ask for? TIA
Clinic does not believe in NK cells testing but I asked for
steroids
this round. Aside from PGA testing, what can I do/ask? I would be grateful for any suggestions/ ideas. Wishing all positive vibes and outcome on this journey xxx

Curious about good spell
I take my
steroids
around 6.45 am, and actually feel pretty normal till about 8.30/9.00 am, at which point the fatigue envelops me and I'm done for the day. Till the magic happens. Does anyone else experience a similar, regular good spell ... and please, can anyone explain WHY ?!

Outdoor symptoms: daily patterns in ozone
My defenses are Xolair, steroid inhalers, the rescue inhaler, rescue
steroids
, an FFP2 mask (if particulates are the problem), a full respirator (when ozone or smells are a problem), staying indoors, exercising indoors, and my "safe space" in the filtered-air tent (HEPA+activated charcoal).

Conflicting information
She said I still wasn't to increase
steroids
until all results were back and if everything did indeed point to a flare then increasing
steroids
would resolve the symptoms in short term but as soon as I reduced again they'd still be there, and therefore she wouldn't recommend me doing that!

Flushing and menthol sensations
Wanting to determine if this is an actual allergy to

or some other medicine or panic/anxiety attacks.

osteoporosis in hips but normal bone density in spine
I am 49 and on long term
steroids
so assuming this is the cause. A number of years ago I was prescribed oral biphosphanates that I didn’t tolerate following an osteopenic result on dexa scan I am not sure if anyone can answer this but my spine T scores were in the normal range.

Should I keep pushing to be tested? Or are the doctors right?
Hi there, I am really struggling. I have always felt like something was not right about my menstrual cycle. I’m now 22, and have been bleeding consistently and sometimes heavily since December 2023. This is the worst it has ever been, and I finally decided to seek treatment for something I have ignored

Arnica cream for jab reactions
Just posting in case it's useful to anyone else...🤞 I've posted previously about a hive style reaction I get after SC injections on my tummy. I've tried allsorts, including strong antihistamines and mild steroid cream, to ease the itch and calm the redness. I've now found that Arnica cream is the

After my hip operation: PMR quiet (thank goodness) while everything else goes mad
caftan’s recent post about their upcoming hip operation prompted me to write this. I read the post, and the responses, to see if there was anything I could add, but there wasn’t. I’m 73, and my op in early Feb went really well; I’m now almost as active as I expect to be. My pred dosage has been managed

Steroids and weak bones
Do any of you have osteoporosis due to steriods?Started dupilimab in January - it works well enough to get me off prednisolone ( it has unpleasant side effects - it plays hell with my sinuses - sneezing coughing and headaches). I have asked for a dexa scan as it is around five years since my last and
