A Measure of Health with SLE Lupus
Am a 64 year old female diagnosed with SLE Lupus in the June 2000 at age 43, after 2 years of marriage. It affected my left lung (pulmonary fibrosis--doctors were preparing me for a lung transplant but refused it). At this time I was being treated with cyclosporine in preparation for the transplant

It is a gift to be who you truly are
As divine timing would have it, earlier this year, a 3 part course on ‘Building Sangha’ popped into my inbox. The call of my inner knowing found me signing up without hesitation via ‘Alternatives’ for this trio of 90 minute virtual sessions with Malcom Stern. Malcolm is a psycho-therapist of 30 years

Auto Stem Cell transplant?
Hi, Curious to know if anyone out there has had R-chop, then relapsed and the next line of treatment recommended was SCT? I've been battling Marginal Zone lymphoma (2016), transformed to DLBCL (2018) and now it's back again. The auto process sounds very scary (dangerous), and with a 30-50% success rate

BK virus and Low WBC
Hi - my dad received a kidney transplant about 4 months ago and at first everything looked great. But recently it showed he had the BK virus. First they lowered his CellCept dose and two weeks later the virus had increased. So they removed CellCept completely and his virus levels were coming down. However

Covid -19, still a big risk for some.
Some time ago, I wanted to post up a warning about the various covid vaccines, and of the lack of protection they might offer for some. Back in April, (not long after I had my first covid-19 vaccine), news began to filter through on the “Royal Free Hospital London, Liver Transplant Support Group” Facebook

Fluid retention / edema
Hi -- I'm 5 years post kidney transplant and over the past year I've developed swelling (pitting edema) in my lower legs. My eyes are also extemely puffy in the morning as the fluid pools there overnight. I'm curiuos if others have taken diuretics (lasix) to address this, or why they have chosen not

Understanding Dexa scan results
Hi. I've had some results of my latest Dexa scan today. I'm due to speak to the consultant next week so I thought I'd jump the gun and ask some questions so I could prepare for the conversation. This is a summary: " Dexa scan shows an unreliable score at the lumbar spine due to the presence of vertebral
