Join us on Wednesday 22 September at 4pm for the last of our 60th birthday special editions - Live & Ticking – The Heart Transplant Story

Professor Sir Nilesh Samani, BHF Medical Director, will be celebrating 60 years of BHF-funded research and shining a light on some of our achievements over the last six decades.

We are honoured to be joined by Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, world-class cardiothoracic surgeon, research pioneer and charity founder, who will be sharing his achievements in the field of heart transplant surgery.

We’re also delighted to be hearing from heart transplant patient and now successful barrister, Mary Poku, who Professor Yacoub operated on. Mary will be sharing her personal experience of heart transplant 36 years post-surgery.
