There are report that young people who have cll, who have done hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) as treatment and have completely recover, have you guys heard of this? Thank you

Is this a follow on question from lankisterguy 's reply of a few days ago?

"The success ratio for SCTs is too low for me at 30%. It is rumored that 10% succumb during the transplant, 30% fail to get the transplant to take, 30% get GVHD (Graft vs. Host Disease)."

The risk of death does tend to increase with age. About 10 years ago when I investigated bone marrow transplants in Australia, the risk was about 20% at 50 years of age.
