Does anyone know anything about the use of deflazacort instead of prednisone for PMR?
Searching the web tonight for prednisone information, I came across deflazacort for the first time. It seems to have better characteristics in terms of less bone loss and other side effects. The article I found (link below) talks about kidney transplantation; does anyone know whether it is being used

Can kidney transplant patients be architects?
I am an architecture student possibly having a living donor kidney soon (stable on HD) I was wondering, does the tac tremor mean that architecture would be unrealistic? Are there any architects on here? Thanks.

Post op Liver transplant.
Hi I'm 3 years post liver transplant and taking immuno-suppressants/anti-reflection drugs. As my immunity is very low I do not yet know if any of the Covid-19 vaccines will protect me by stimulating my body to produce antibodies to fight the virus. I'd be very keen to hear if anyone has any information

Finding a Personalized Approach To Treating Chronic Rejection After Lung Transplantation.
Two new papers examine the processes of lung scarring and chronic rejection of the organ after transplantation, and potential therapies to stop the graft, or transplanted organ and its tissue, from failing. “Chronic graft failure due to progressive scarring is the number one worry of all transplant

Tacrolimus, Covid-19
I have for some time been concerned (like a lot of people) how any covid-19 vaccine would work with Tacrolimus, my concerns where that any vaccine might inhibit the tacrolimus and thus making us more venerable to organ rejection. There just didn’t seem to be any science available to change my point of

Bladder neck constriction
I was having trouble urinating, a little twinge of pain like when you’re driving long time then really gotta go! Doc gave me antibiotics for possible UTI, didn’t help. Then he did Swab to identify what if any bacteria was there it came back negative. Ultrasound and another dye injection test showed

Liver transplant
I have had liver cirrhosis now since August, but still not had the courage to see a doctor, I am going to talk to doctor today. I know that in reality I am going to die, I am only 44 but I succumbed to the dreadful drinking of whiskey. My only hope is a liver transplant, but I fear that I am too

New here.
Hey, I’m Ross and I was on dialysis for 12 years before receiving a kidney transplant in august this year. At the beginning it was very hard due to the kidney taking a while to wake up, I was in hospital for 19 days, almost had to get a biopsy, but they then gave me a high diesel of steroids because

Lung transplantation for patients with severe COVID-19
Case studies and autopsy results are confirming that, in some cases, COVID-19 can cause such severe lung damage that patients require a lung transplant to survive. In a new study, researchers in Chicago analyzed discarded tissue from COVID-19 patients who had lung transplants and from patients who died
