Shin splints -devestated W5 r2
My daughter spoke of
shin
splints
so I have read up and see I might have to take a 2 -4 week break! I have a 5k run in September so I know I have plenty of time to get to the end of the programme. I am just worried I might lose my motivation and walk it instead.

Feeling hopeful
Well after 6 months of pure hell, having come off biological therapy I saw the consultant who has started leflunomide for me. Fingers crossed it helps get this wretched disease under control. Is it too much to ask for a day or two of painless living or a day where work isn't a struggle. Feeling hopeful

Viral meningitis
On 6/21/15 i woke up to a small blister on my bottom lip. This was only the second time in my life that I had a cold sore. So like the first time I went to rite aid and spent the 22.00 on Abreva for a speedy recovery. Unfortunately this time was nothing like the first. My lip tripled in size making

The Diary of a Prune
Was thinking about last time I tried to get into running a few years ago (cut short by appalling
shin
splints
) as I was out this morning, and thought I'd try to rootle out my old diary.

9 Stone to Lose at 24 Years Old. Yep.
I started doing C25K by running on the country track behind my house (still on week 1), but because of my weight I ended up with
shin
splints
. Instead of writing myself off, I've now (today) joined a gym and will be completing the program on a treadmill until my legs are stronger.

My legs feel like lead and I have what feels like the beginning of
shin
splints
. In hindsight maybe I should have added what had been completed and only done what was left or just left it and done it another day but that would have been far too easy.

Oh my GOD I did it!!!!
Then, even though I stretch and warmed up, I get
shin
splints
and the lactic acid always builds up in my leg muscles really quickly (during the warm up walk!)

Week 3 - could be worse!
So I'm onto Week 3, after completing the first and second weeks twice (each) to rule out ANY possibility of
shin
splints
after they crippled me a few years ago. Glad to say that legs remain problem free - hurrah! Now I just need to sort out the constant stitches (why?!) and unexplained back pain.

Reynauds AND a nerve tumour ....
Well, this is great, apart from having Reynauds, which I was born with, plus squamous cell carcinomas on my legs, I now have a quite rare tumour, called a schwannoma. I had it cut out, ( painful, because it grows within the nerve sheath ).... Because of compromised circulation , massive sepsis occurred

Nutribullet? ??
Happy holiday everyone😊 Was going to get a nutribullet blender today. Was reading reviews and not sure on it now. Thought I would run it by you guys. Do you use the nutribullet? Would you recommend it? ☺ If not, what do you use? Vitamix has great reviews, but very expensive! Appreciate any feedback

sore shins :(
Just read about '
shin
splints
', and the fact that this could stop me running altogether :( even though my last run was a struggle, I'm on week 6 day 2 and the thought of stopping running now is devastating, I'm loving it!! Has any one else had this problem and what happened?

Irregular shaped mole
Hello, I read an article today about melanoma and different types of moles to be aware of. I tried to book an appointment with GP but I can't get one right away and I was just wonderign if anyone could help. I've had this mole on my chest for a while now, however, i don't think it has always been here
