Was going to get a nutribullet blender today. Was reading reviews and not sure on it now. Thought I would run it by you guys. Do you use the nutribullet? Would you recommend it? βΊ If not, what do you use? Vitamix has great reviews, but very expensive! Appreciate any feedback from you guys π
Thanks

Hi ruby. I ab love my nutribullet. Unlike other juicers there's no fibre wasted. It's brill at blending nuts and frozen fruit etc. I make mainly green juices Highly recommended. Kath x
No mine's not the rx. I think that's a later model than mine I got mine from Ideal World and at the time got the free recipe book Recommend you get the book Top screws onto jar. Not rubber x
I guess you read swervs.....post about when he quit smoking he felt worse? Now he's juicing and feeling really good. I have such good intentions, but don't follow through. Supplements, exercise, and juicing. If only thinking about it helped! π
I bought NutriBullet awhile ago and are still making up my mind as to what flavours to use, oh yes it is a must for your health worth the money, preparation is nessary as I let it forment over night and poured them down the loo, ! Ha ,so it says frozen fruits, best if organic ,spinach, nuts ,you get a great recipe book with it ,learn about health so it is a must for me with severe emphsema,no appetite, muscle waste,no motivation to exercise, so I will enjoy making drinks soon ,when I've collected all the ingredients.and goji berry, nuts.ice , get experimenting ruby, lots of fun...Bonnie.xx
Hi ruby, I have been reading the reviews too....lots of pros and cons of the different makes.
There is a website called nutriliving .com with lots of different recipes.
I used to have a juicer, it made nice drinks but all the fibre was wasted unless I made a carrot or apple cake...and horrid to wash up after and big to store.
A blender is good for smoothies, but won't cope with harder veg.
Highly recommend the Nutribullet and wouldn't be without mine. So easy to use and you get out everything you put in - no loss of fibre etc . Simple to clean too! I've read that you need to drink whatever you've put in within 20 minutes in order to get the maximum benefits.
Absolutely! I have one and love it. It is the easiest way to get fruit and veg into my body every day. Just make sure you use plenty of greens. I freeze uncooked spinach and use handfuls whenever I need it. Can't recommend them enough
As others have said I wouldn't be without mine. Had it for a long time and been thinking about getting newer model.
Very easy to use. My favourite quick recipe when unable to eat is simply milk banana and honey! Quick easy and loads of nutrients. Also washes up in seconds - quick swish under the tap normally all it needs!!
Shop around for cheapest prices or like me get given one as a pressie!
My daughter-in-law has a nutribullet & swears by it. I have a Β£50 blender from Sainsbury's that does the same job and a separate "coffee" grinder for nuts & seeds
Everyone seems very positive about the nutribullet. I haven't got one but will look into it. If you get one, please let me know how you get on with it xx
Have thought about buying one, am concerned that they say it causes weight loss.I think it would be very easy to drink too many calories however healthy, think vegetables as opposed to too much fruit which is full of sugar would be best
Hi, I've been thinking about getting the Nutribullit for a while and yesterday finally decided to splash out and get one. Ordered online so hopefully will be trying it out in a day or two! Hope it's as good as it sounds.
Yes I got it yesterday. Unfortunately the Instruction manual and cookbook are missing but hopefully that is being rectified soon. Made a smoothie yesterday with spinach and various fruits, tasted great although the colour was vile!!! I'll not tell you what my son said it looked like! ;o)
I'm drinking one now made with frozen raspberries, fresh strawberries, kiwi, apple, orange, mango and coconut water. It's gorgeous. Can't wait to experiment.
Kathy
Meant to say, for others benefit too, I got mine from TescoDirect and used my vouchers using the Boost option which doubles their value, so I got the Nutribullet for virtually half price. Brilliant!
Hi there Ruby, you got me! I have obtained the phone number but have not made the call to order it. It has been a very very busy week for me and hopefully I will get a chance tomorrow to ring and order. To me nutritionally it is the best option: you "drink" the entire fruit/vegetable/nut in mixture or alone, but it is finely macerated so micronutrients are more readily for adsorption. Better than juice as on also get the fibre fractions which play important roles in gut health. Will let you know what I think once I get it..... Best wishes xxx
Hi Ruby...same as knitter - I have the Nutri Ninja though I'm sure they both do a similar job. Someone here was concerned about losing weight by juicing veggies but I use mine often for making banana milk shakes. Intending to make more smoothies, etc in the near future xxx
I have the Nutribullet. Remember, it's not a juicer that extracts the pulp. However, it does make make the pulp drinkable. And in most cases the pulp has most (?) of the nutrition. And you can always use a fine strainer of you want to remove all of the pulp. On the downside, you need to add (dilute) with water to juice it. A real juicer is good for a very liquid drink but has less nutrition. Nutribullet has more nutrition but less liquidy until you strain whatever tiny pulp that has not liquefied. A juicer requires a bit of cleaning. Nutribullet very very little. In both cases you need to cut the fruits and veggies first. For the Nutribullet you may need to cut just a little more. Bottom line, I've bought the Nutribullet for several friends and relatives. You'll need to tweak the water ratio and handle the residual pulp (maybe run the machine longer, I'm not sure), unless you're planning to eat the pulp from a juicer, I think the Nutribullet is better health wise.
Hi ruby, I am using a nutribullet pro I think it's brilliant, I bought it after someone on this site recommended it, i first bought a blend tec Β£350 plus !! then I heard about the little bulleti and quite honestly I think it's just as good for our needs, I took the blend tec back . I'm making all sorts of juices and smoothies , it also does perfect breadcrumbs !! For topping on mushrooms etc, I'm turning into a super chef haha xx happy juicing x
I have the NutriNinja that has a 1000 watt motor as standard. These new Juicers are fantastic at what they do and are very easy to clean. GET ONE !! Get the one that has auto stops and starts over 45 or 60 seconds. This permits the larger heavier pieces to sink down onto the blades and get cut up. I think it's the intellisense model or some other silly name like that. But it is a very good machine.
I have the ninja too. Yesterday I made soup...carrot, sweet potato, frozen spinach, and a chicken stock pot and water. Whizzed them up raw and then cooked for a little while on the stove before adding some cream. Fantastic, velvety smooth, nutritious lunch in no time.
Mine has an auto feature...1000 watts. Instead of counting sheep when I am trying to get to sleep, I count the things I am going to put in my breakfast smoothy!! Gets me off to sleep in no time π
I have the Nutribullet 900 series, which is the most powerful and mine is fine. I understand that the macerating juicers are the best, but to me the price doesn't justify the expense. I must say that I have felt more healthy since using it. I add about 1/2 a teaspoon of Maccha, which is much more powerful than green tea and is even more powerful if you add lemon juice. I do about 1/2 greens such as spinach, wild rocket or kale, the rest is fruit and as someone else stated, you use the whole fruit excluding the skin - though you could add some grated zest of unwaxed lemon, lime or orange which would also intensify flavour - so you do get the important fibre. I add a little Ceylon cinnamon, which is true cinnamon and not Cassia cinnamon which is the one you find in the supermarkets but is toxic in large doses and I add ginger, both are anti-inflammatory. It's a fantastic way of getting your five a day and the important vit's and minerals you need for fighting lung disease. At the same time, I also take a Vit D3 throughout the winter months, as it's often lacking in the chronically ill and very important for your immune system. I make sure I cut back on omega 6's such a vegetable oils and are inflammatory as inflammation exacerbates disease and have omega 3's such as extra/Virgin Olive oils, or fish oils as these decrease inflammation. I have seen a similar product to the nutribullet advertised in Argos, though I'm unsure of how powerful it is.
