Water, water everywhere.
We are told to keep drinking water. Especially tap water. For myself the tap water in London tastes and smells horrible. So I used to spend (waste) money on buying bottled water. My mother would say that I had more money than sense. However, I was told to try boil tap water. Let it cool then pour it

I don't think these pains were
shin
splints
as a Google search makes it seem they are located higher up. These were in the front crook of my ankle. I don't think I was over-doing it on the speed, I was going quite gently. Will this improve over time? Am I doing anything wrong/incorrectly.

Hopefully by next week I'll be back to where I was before the
shin
splints
. The next step for me is plucking up the courage to sign up for a regular fitness class to replace one of my gym days, I'm thinking kettle bells would be a good one to try.

Swim when you're winning
So, the plan is: Swim: 1 hour 3 days a week Resistance training: 15 mins 3 days per week (after cardio) Cardio: C25K 3 days per week (30 mins) Dog walking: long walk (1.5 hours) once a week plus a 30 minute walk every night (ish) If I end up with
shin
splints
again from the C25K program I'll shelve

Yay!! I did it!
However, I did do all the runs and have got through
shin
splints
, hip pain, the embarrassment of the first outside run, finding out I have "exercise-induced asthma" (huh?), and the bear behind our house!

COLD SORES.
I am having a real run of cold sores. Is there anyone else out there having the same problem? How serious are cold sores? What should I be doing to help myself? I have been taking Lysine and have cream to put on them but not sure this is helping much. I'm sick of having unkissable lips!!!!!

Doctors / tests
So I went back to the doctors yesterday as I'm not coping with hardly anything at the moment. Think I might have to quit my job if I carry on the way I'm going :( So anyway he put me on nepofam and clomipramine. He also ran some blood tests iron, b 12, inflammation, rhumatoid factor etc (the usual).

Advice please!
I am extremely tired and suffer pain in my arms which I can only explain as being like
shin
splints
. I have also had a sore jaw for a couple of months and persistent ear pain. A previous blood test showed "inflammation " but recent test was clear. I am wondering if I am undermedicated.

Post Bacterial Meningitis
I'm curious to know if anyone has had a bout of Impetigo at any point in their lives following Bacterial Meningitis? A few weeks ago I developed what I thought was a pimple at the right side of my mouth. It quickly became clear that it was no ordinary spot, it grew, formed a horrid crust and wept. It

I say hopefully, I've been suffering massively with
shin
splints
this week and I've pulled all my thigh muscles quite badly so I'm walking like an old woman on rollerskates. If I can't run, I'll do the cross trainer and if I can't do that I'll go swimming.

Not meant to be
Well first time I tried c25k was a massive fail, second time I got
shin
splints
, third time, my buggy needs a new tyre and no money to buy a new one and no child care for me to run, my normal pushchair is far too heavy to run with as well ๐ฅ I was feeling so positive that I could actually do it this

Week 1 run 1: 9 stone overweight...
First time I did the first 1 min run then walked the rest, second time I did the first 3 runs, third time I did the first 5 runs then last night I did the first 4 due to
shin
splints
:( I've lost 10lbs already but at 18.5 stone running is a big ask on my legs.

Thyro Gold?
I have been reading a lot lately about Thyro Gold, formulated by the late Dr. John C. Lowe, that is now sold by his widow. The reviews seem very positive, and I have been wondering about the efficacy of bovine thyroid contra porcine thyroid...as the latter is said to be much closer to human thyroid.

Week 1 run 1 on a treadmill...
The
shin
splints
are very painful right now but that will pass, and it's totally cancelled out by this awesome 'light' feeling I've got from completing my first run :) For anyone who thinks taking 10 days to do the first run is pretty bad, and to the guy on the treadmill next to me who kept looking
