Finsbury Park - 5K
I made it up the hill the first time around, but think I expended a bit too much energy and had to do some walking /
running
intervals in miles 2 & 3. I think I'll have to return to conquer that course - and find some hill training in the meantime.

Baker’s Cyst, Medial Meniscus tears
I have been
running
since my mid-teens but stopped
running
soon after being diagnosed with PMR (I did have a few weeks when I was originally diagnosed and was on 40 mg - I was
running
on trails with my dog - felt like I could do anything! I hadn’t run for 5 months at that point.)

Going into Week 5
don’t be fooled by this smile, as I absolutely hate
running
. Do you ever start to enjoy it? I’m always up for a challenge so I push myself to do it but I would like to enjoy it at the same time 😂

Advice, please
At the age of 59, I completed Couch to 5 km about 7 years ago, surprising myself by regularly
running
5K 2 or 3 times a week, usually on a
running
machine :-). Previously I'd only ever run a bath. Due to one thing or another, this dropped off, and I would like to get back to this level.

When I was at home I was regularly
running
10ks, but I seem to have hit a wall. My breathing is not what it has been and I am finding it hard going. It is hot out here at the moment. If any of my fellow runners have any ideas, I would love to hear from you!

So many excellent talks by the speakers and so much information for all of us patients A special thanks must go to Nona and Maz for the smooth
running
of the forum as usual. I’m sure others would agree that your efforts on our behalf are very much appreciated Margo

What to expect
I see that from here on in it's all about blocks of
running
and am curious to know what to expect eg will 25 mins on W7R3 feel very different to today's W6R3? I know it's very individual but thought I'd ask anyway. Thank you 💓

Finished my first half marathon!!
I have stuck to my training plan religiously and committed to
running
more than I have ever committed to anything in my entire life. I don't know what it is about
running
but it gives me such a sense of achievement and freedom from the demons that live in my head.

RED January week 3 ☑️
Running
on a treadmill has encouraged me to mix up my
running
with intervals in order to make the time pass more, which is something I don’t really do on the road. I feel I’m getting those fast twitch fibres reactivated!

Help!
I used to enjoy
running
, but have since fell off the wagon. I even ran a half marathon! I really want to get started with the Couch to 5K to hopefully restore my enjoyment with
running
. Any advice for someone who is about to start?
