I'd just like to know
Hi, I had a terrible cough over Christmas, gradually got better over the next two weeks but still had some rib pain mid Jan so saw my GP. I'd stopped smoking because of the cough but had smoked most of my adult life. (still stopped, will never again) I had no cancer symptoms except the rib pain but

Very High Reverse T3 level. Should I be concerned.
Out of the blue I decided to get my Reverse T3 level checked as I’ve never had it done before and I was rather curious. I have Central hypothyroidism. I currently take 150 mcgs of Levo , 20 mcgs T3 and 10 mgs of hydrocortisone. My most recent blood results were - TSH - 0 ulU/ml

FET in 4 days and nasty cold
I am so worried now, our FET is this Thursday and some nasty cold got me this weekend. I am afraid to take any cold/flu meds so it won't mess up with my lining etc 🙈 Has anyone been not well before or during transfer and it affected the outcome?

...and now I have a cold!
The last couple of weeks have been so busy with commitments both during the day and the evenings that I've only managed 2 runs in the last 10 days. Today should be Week 5 run 3 but I've woken up with a cold, headache and sore throat. AND it's raining AGAIN! Think I might just stay in bed.

Flu shot debate, I've noticed a decline
My mom is 94 and a sibling took her for a flu shot without my knowledge. I then visited my mom about 10 days later and noticed her blood pressure was up to 198, even while lying down. I took her to immediate care where they brought it down but it continues to stay higher than usual and the cardiologist

Need advice about T3 levels
Hi, I have had some tests recently which included thyroid levels and my free T3 levels are 3.1 which appears to me, to be right on the borderline of normal. The free T4 and the TSH are fine by the look of them. Im just wondering if that T3 level is a bit low. I dont have any symptoms I would describe

Newbie - Should have wrapped up warm! Any tips? 😊
Hi all. I am new here so I thought I would say hi 👋. I started the C25K programme (again!) in Sept 23 and everything was going really well until I picked up a flu bug. I had to stop for a few weeks and I started the programme up again, only to the catch COVID 😭. I tried to start again after Christmas

Acid Reflux - coughing
I have been suffering for the last 7 weeks with a constant cough. I take Gaviscon and 1 x 20mg omeprazole, I have not seen a doctor yet as I have been away. Does anyone else get a constant cough which may be related to GERD? I also now have a runny nose but can't be a cold as I've had it so long. Can

Dialysis / RLS
Wow, this sub is a lot more active than the Kidney Disease sub, one would think it would be the other way around. I guess RLS is a lot more prevalent than people think? I never experienced or even heard of RLS before starting dialysis but boy did it hit me hard. It's already hard to sleep while doing

Another test in my continuing saga. I am now being tested for cold agglutinin. Dr's note below. "A prior DAT was negative, but a second one conducted on Feb. 14 was positive. Cold water swimming
Hi all, I have been toying with cold water swimming for some time. ... (Now I'm no longer on the brink of chilblains at all times it seems like it could be a reasonable endeavour!) Does anyone do cold water swimming (or similar) and feel any benefit? I've done some very brief reading about brown

Pneumonia vaccination
Thank you everyone who replied, i hope i missed no-one out . It’s reassuring to have ‘friends’ on here who understand. I shall be having my jab next week. I had no problem after the flu and covid jabs, i really don’t know why i’m worrying. Fear of the unknown i guess,

Laryngitis and lupus
Hi, I am having my 2nd bout of laryngitis in 10 weeks, having never having had it before. I have just looked on Doctor Google and it says that my laryngitis can be caused by my lupus. Is this correct? Is this something I need to mention to my lupus specialist? I am due to start on methotrexate next
