Hello, I had multiple blood clots in both lungs, pneumonia and also found multiple nodules both lungs sized 5mm and 6mm. This was August 23. I was on apixaban which they stopped on 12th. On 14th I started my period but haven't stopped. It keeps going to black blood then back to red .My hands are cold and sweaty. Anybody know if I should be concerned?? Thanks

Contact 111 and tell them what’s happening. If you’re at all concerned then dial 999. I’m not medically qualified but don’t like the sound of that. Maybe someone else will be more helpful but I tend to err on the side of caution.

Please let us know how things go xxx

I am on Rivaroxaban and if what is happening to you, I would phone 111 - I had a crisps out of a Walkers bag, scratched my throat and bled for 5 hours. Scary.

You probably either need a dose change or a drug change or need to stop until you are clear. Ring 111 Sassy was right. Let us know how you go on please, lots take this family of blood thinners,

Give 111 a ring and go from there.

If you are worried about anything then give them a ring as that's what they're paid for.

Yes, I'd definitely call 111, they will ensure you get a an appointment at gp ASAP. My niece had a coil removed a couple of weeks ago, had a massive loss of blood over days, a&e thought it was 2 pints, now the consultant is believing it must have been 3 pints. She's quite poorly. Keep drinking fluids, fruit & veg a plenty.
