Removal of meds but no replacement or investigation
Last year I was told I had sciatica and a slipped disc after a five hour train journey and being on the 2nd floor of a hotel with a broken elevator. I tried co codamol which didn't help so then tramadol which really helped. I don't know why it wasn't investigated further. Recently I moved areas and the

Does anyone know what ferritin levels are okay for treating hashis?
Hi everyone, Really trying to get a handle on my health this year, so am going to try to ask my gp for iron supplements. My ferritin level was 25 in November (it was 15 the previous year and 5 when it was first taken, the year before that). So it goes up by about 5 points a year. I currently take Solgar

Seretide cause neck pain?
Just after some advice please. My mum is a long term asthmatic and until 7 weeks ago it was fairly well controlled with brown inhaler and pink inhaler (I’m not sure if the names sorry). Anyhow, she had a chest infection and was on doxycycline and prednisolone which cleared it but asthma was out of control

I literally give up
Just had my first gynae appointment at long fucking last and I’ve come out of it randomly sobbing and pissed off. The consultant wouldn’t listen to me as I tried to explain how I feel etc. I had written a list but he didn’t want to see it or have me read from it. He has referred me for an MRI so that

Good morning
Good morning all you beautiful people, just wondering if anyone takes codeine phosphate 15mg, going to give it a try. I have tried all the usual co-codamol etc but i think its the paracetamol mix that makes me sick.. Anything is worth a try to take the edge off the aches and pains we all suffer!

Good news.
I fell due to taking codeine made my blood pressure drop. Went to doc, she was a locum, she had my results!! Sent a request for me to see consultant. Sent physio request. Then suggested co codamol instead of the pain relief that makes me fall. Zapain. What a relief.

Paracetamol/strokes?
Is anyone worried about daily taking of co-codamol? I I have Hypermobility Syndrome and take 4 to 6 a day for chronic pain. Up until now my main concern has been the addictive nature of the Codine . However I have been reading about new trial results re the long term use of Paracetamol and links to

Iron levels and starting NDT
Long story short I switched to NDT last July after being on Levo for 9 months (most likely I've been hypo for about 8 past years but not diagnosed). I did well on NDT at first but then got worse when trying to raise, so I checked my cortisol (got low-low-low-high) and iron panel (very low, serum iron

What the Hell is going on here? Norfolk's Endo's won't even see my wife for her Hashi's "Can't/Won't do anything" Outrageous!
I had blood tests last September which confirms I have auto-immune thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s). Plus other issues which may be drug interaction related. I asked for a referral to the local NHS Endocrinologists (Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and was given a Choose and Book set up where there were

Really getting to me
So 3 weeks ago, I starting having very severe pain in my lower stomach/pelvis/hips. A week later I had my “period” ehich lasted 3 days because it took three days for my body to realise I wasn’t taking my pill. Whilst the pain is better, I’m still in a hell of a lot of pain - especially in my pelvis.

Can certain probiotics increase dopamine
This is intriguing because the one thing people with RLS and Parkinson’s disease is low dopamine. I wonder if taking these probiotics could help increase dopamine. “This has sparked the idea that we might be able to improve the symptoms if we change the microbiome through diet or other ways … People

Back pain
Does anyone else suffer from back pain because of endo? I get such severe pain I can barely move around for about a week, nevermind do basic tasks. How do you cope with it? I take co-codamol but it makes me lightheaded so it doesn’t really help much. Any advice would be amazing. Thank you x

Feeling poorly.
Feel so unwell, I have finally found a pharmacy that stocks North Star levothyroxine, as Teva, Actavis simply don't suit me. When I spoke to the pharmacist at Boots she produced a brand called Almus or something along those lines. All good until she checked the information leaflet and we were both shocked
