Good morning

Good morning all you beautiful people, just wondering if anyone takes codeine phosphate 15mg, going to give it a try.

I have tried all the usual co-codamol etc but i think its the paracetamol mix that makes me sick.. Anything is worth a try to take the edge off the aches and pains we all suffer!

I find it very useful but try and only take it in the morning otherwise constipation sets in! I hope it helps you.

I have just been prescribed BuTrans buprenorphine patches. Previously on co-codamol I found that they would wear off in the middle of the night making the pain resurface at an ungodly hour and waking me. Each patch lasts for a week and smooths those peaks and troughs I was getting with tablets. It's also helping with the constipation problems that oral opioids bring. I hope this helps

they sound interesting, I'm not doing too well in the pain department at the minute.. Slowly working my way through the docs list of pain relief that doesn't interact with the mtx 🙄

Yeah definitely watch the constipation maybe get the doc to prescribe some lactulose as well it tastes a bit sugary but does the job without going too far. Has anyone suggested Fentanyl patches they don’t mess with gut or bowels they’re very difficult to get at first because they’re a controlled drug but at the end of the day codine is morphed by the liver into morphine and can be addictive too. If you’re struggling with pain see what your GP says.
