New here, cabg’ed
I’m new here. Cabg x 5 about 7 weeks ago. Dropped the codeine after about 2 weeks (weird dreams!) and slowly reading paracetamol. Following the advice, slowing increasing duration, not intensity of walking and only real problem is drain holes (2 of 3) not healing properly and starting a steroid cream

Colchicine - does it help your joint pain?
I am wondering if any of my fellow sufferers out there are on colchicine and if they find it helps or not? I have been on it about 6 weeks now and admit it has reduced my ulcers and skin issues but the pain in my joints is still unbearable and escalating. Does anyone out there find it helps with the

Aching chest
Hi all, I’m 7 weeks post triple op and in the last couple of days my whole chest area has been aching so much more than before? Is this due to the ‘numbness’ wearing off, I’m taking paracetamol (which Id stopped taking a couple of weeks ago) any other suggestions? Thank you

Nerve pain and chronic gastric issues - HELP
Hi, I am 10 days post laparoscopy and actually in more pain than I was before it didn’t solve any of my problems and I am heartbroken. The surgeon removed the areas in my pelvis and ligaments however there is a large deep patch near my rectum that he couldn’t treat so I’ve been referred on. However I

5 weeks on recovering from Covid-19
What can I say really? For the first time I’m posting after along time and the reason was the whole pandemic (Cov-19/SARS) was too much for me to deal with in my mind. In mid July 2021, I believe that there was a third wave that hit and I was unaware and being back at work in the gym and training again

Pred-induced Osteoporosis - Zoledronic acid??
Hi Everyone I was asked to report back after I'd seen my consultant this week, re the ankle fracture I incurred without a fall or trip - you rightly deduced that she said I must have a Dexascan. (I await date and time for that). However, she also said that the weekly Alendronic acid I've been taking

Surgery fears
Hi there, I'm having surgery next month to confirm if my symptoms are indeed caused by endo. I don't know if it is just me but I've been having these horrible dreams where they perform the surgery and don't find any sign of endo, or I'm at a gynaecologist appointment and the doctor doesn't believe my

Hello ladies, First of all apologies for the TMI…I’ve had a c section 17 days ago and for the last 3 days I’ve been having terrible intestinal cramps with bouts of loose stools/diarrhoea….was wondering if it’s part of the recovery? Has this happened to any of you? After the section I was on antibiotics

Useful write by an unknown lady saved in my system long back and forgotten by me!
As an addict of reading materials on health, this article I had saved but forgot it. After joining this group, I deep dived into my computer and found this. Written by a Tamil south Indian lady, few words may be new to a few. I am SHARING, WITH A REQUEST FOR THE READER'S OPINIONS only and not recommending

Hi, over the last couple months I’ve been getting pains in my chest, Rib area and Back, some days I feel ok but other days not so good, laying down at times can be very uncomfortable, I’m not 100% sure but think this may all of started after I cleaned my windows a couple of months ago, but has come on

New member and started on gabapentin .
Hi im new here, I've been prescribed gabapentin 100mgs x3 daily after refusing the 'only drug' the doctor said was available ..namely ropinorole. I refused that as first line, as I'm aware of augmentation , and other side effects like impulsive behaviours. I am aware of NICE guidelines. I pointed

Bad cold not getting better
A week ago I saw a friend who was recovering from a cold. You’ve guessed it! I caught the first cold I’ve had for several years. Not only that it’s worse than a sniffle, I’ve slept for most of two days and nights. I’m assuming it’s all down to my rubbish immune system. I’m beginning to think I’m mad

Mental health
I think anxiety is inevitable when it comes to IVF and loss (especially during a pandemic). This sh*t is hard! However I feel like I’ve reached the point (or probably been here for a long time but now come to the realisation rather) than I need further help regarding my mental health through this process

Aches and pains
Since my Nan’s diagnosis back 8 or 9 years ago, she’s never really complained of pain, but only recently since she’s been spending more time in bed, she’s been complaining of a painful back, bottom and hands, she’s no longer comfortable in her chair in the lounge and wheelchair which she usually liked
