pain!
Hi, I have end stage osteoarthritis and was told before Christmas I would have my op by April. I’ve still not heard anything. The pain is horrendous now. I am taking Tramadol. Paracetamol, naproxen and amitriptyline . The Dr also recently prescribed morphine which done absolutely nothing so stopped taking

7 years in May since I was diagnosed.
I've been reminding myself how far I've come. Back in 2016 I was struggling to have enough energy to get dressed and spent many days in my PJ's. Most I managed was to provide a meal each day. Showering was exhausting so that didn't happen often either. Back then I had few spoons and when they were

pain relief - amytriptyline
hello. I wanted to let you know about a new pain relief I’m on. I’m currently waiting for a second surgery and the operation was delayed. I was really struggling with back, hip and leg pain. Ibuprofen and paracetamol did nothing - I think that’s because it’s nerve pain but I’m not sure. I spoke to

Back on Peg..Any tips?
Finally bit the bullet and took first dose of peg last night after a 14 month break. Man I forgot how rough the hangover can be 😅 In such a (relatively) short space of time I’ve forgotten all of the tips and tricks that make side effects a bit easier! I did the paracetamol & inject right before bed

Update to "Back at 10mg what to do now?"
What I have done is followed Dorset Lady's advice as follows:10mg for 10 days. 8mg for 5 days. 5mg for 5 days . 3mg for 5 days. Today is actually my third day on 3mg, but thought it was time to report in. 10mg was totally pain free, but hungry!! 8mg was absolutely fine. 5mg was OK, but took 2 Paracetamol

What does everyone take for pain? I'm on day 33 of cycle and still no bleed and the last 3 days its been excruciating pain but still havent started. Normally when I get pain this bad it starts within 24 hours and the pain slowly eases. I'm just taking paracetamol, buscopan and lots of heat, I cant take

Update on post re Flare or Muscle Pain
I followed the advice for dealing with a flare, ended up having to go back up to 16 Mg (I had got to 10mg, but adding just 1mg to the level before the flare didn't help). Eventually after a week the pain and stiffness improved so after 2weeks I dropped by 2mg for a week. then another 2 mg for a week.

Different GPs - Different levothyroxines
About a year ago I was transferred to a new GP at my local surgery - which I was asked about and agreed to. (She had seen me for shingles.) She is outstanding at listening. (At least, at the time!). I recently felt that my levothyroxine dose wasn't quite right. I usually take a 100 microgram + half

I’m pretty sure they are migraines feel like my head is all spaced and groggy if that makes sense? I have two girls and I didn’t experience this with either of them and I’ve never had migraines

Flare with continued pain in left hip
Thank you everyone for you comments and care. I’ve just had a call from my GP recommending I stay at 10mg for the next few weeks then taper. Also a referral for a hip X-ray and to take ibuprofen and paracetamol together to relieve pain. This site and all of you are such a support thank you again

I stopped taking thyroid medication 3 days ago
Hi all, me again, So I had choking, rhinitis, coughing, high BP, tachycardia, tinnitus, GERD & horrific back & chest pain on Levothyroxine. Also dementia. I started splitting the dose to see if reaction with each dose., It did, so after my last post I sought to relieve the BP & HR by trial & error,

Over 8 Years with PMR and still finding it difficult
Having spent 9 months since July 2020 moving from 5megs to 4 megs of Pred. I felt good and settled at 4megs. With life's ups and downs, each time I thought of trying another SLOW reduction. Something would change, not feeling great, Covid and it's after effects even though it was slight. I then settled

Moderate pelvis pain; 17 days post failed embryo transfer; should I be worried?
My period started on OTD (8 days ago), but for the last 4 days I have had moderate pelvis pain; cramping and trapped gas. Ive tried to take ibuprofen, paracetamol, use heat packs and drink chamomile tea but the pain still persists. Seems to come in waves and I think has peaked but still ongoing today

POST-HERPETIC NEURALGIA
Hi, first time on here and hopefully might find some advice, if not it might prompt some to ensure they get the appropriate shingles vaccine. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2014 with my first round treatment in 2017. This went reasonably well and I then went 4 years before it was decided that I would need

Re Bisoprolol to Solatol
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to reply to my query about changing from Bisoprolol to Sotalol. I have spent a long time worrying about it as it’s true that Google gives us mixed messages about Sotalol. Of course, not all the remarks on Google are up to date, and to be frank, if you read the
