Confused/ anxious about how invasive a surgery to go for...
Hi all, my disease confuses me and I still don’t understand it. Can you help advise or respond with your experience? From my last MRI in January, I have stage 4 ‘bilateral ovarian’ Endo and ‘hydrosalpinges’ with uterine adenomyosis, I have what is called a ‘bulky uterus’, my pouch of Douglas is obliterated

Need a listening ear
Not posted for a while as been feeling really bad, but need to let of steam and maybe get a bit of feedback. Feel so ill am convinced I am dying. My medication is limited to levothyroxine for hypothyroidism as I can't tolerate other medications, other than occasional paracetamol, diazepam or asprin

Physio finally came after eleven months.
We were first referred for/to a physiotherapist eleven months ago for my chronic and severe back pain due to four compression fractures in my spine. For eleven months I have been prescribed morphine, paracetamol and ibuprofen. At last, a very helpful and skilled NHS physiotherapist came this morning

Feeling a bit lost - how to manage pain and moods?
Hello, I am new here, I didn't know there were places for support with endometriosis. I have no social support system really, it is just me, myself, and I for the main part, with a friend I talk to who lives in a different county now. I started talking to my doctors about 6/7 years ago regarding my

What do you take for extreme nausea?
I'm on domperidone for gastroparesis(but that doesn't help the nausea). I used to take prochloroperazine but it stopped working so have been swapped to Cyclizine which is completely useless. (I take peppermint tea+ginger tea when I can but it is of little use in extreme cases). A friend suggested Ondansetron

I phoned rumey nurse up on Thursday and then phoned back on Friday. I asked for some steroids or a steroid shot to help

Worrying day!
Ian had a very odd time yesterday I wondered if anybody else has come across this.He had lunch and was having a dessert and as sometimes happens he had a little bit of a choking attack but it was unusual in that he was making the most awful noises with each mouthful. These noises then carried on after

Have had a very rough time over the last week or so, very bad bleed- lost 1.5-2litres! (unnecessary as I had had an Endoscopy two days before when they failed to band some varices) then a completely unexplained seizure whilst on the ward recovering from bleeding and banding. I fell very awkwardly when

And I thought it was all over…
I’ve had little PMR pain for the last 9 months. Have been slowly reducing Pred, though regular step backs with illness but down to 4.5. Smugly I thought my PMR had gone and all I needed was to watch out for adrenal problems. Then, while in process of moving house with some major headaches, husband taken

Hospital guest!
I have just escaped from 5 days of solitary confinement in hospital and got home just in time to celebrate my birthday today. I know how short of beds the hospitals are here in the West Country so when I developed a high temperature after a blood transfusion I decided to see if I could reduce the fever

Fall
I fell on the stairs a week ago and landed on my left buttock. the pain is debilitating. It is the same place as I have previously had polymialgia pain. Paracetemol has no effect. Can this be polymialgia playing up as a consequence off the fall? Should I increase my steroid dose? If I had damaged

Deeply grateful to all the replies about agonising shoulder pain
Many thanks to all of you Kind people for your advice regarding my agonising shoulder pain. I am currently trying my Tens machine which I had forgotten about and which someone had suggested. I found paracetamol was useless, as was Ibuprofen. I previously suffered from duodenitis when taking nsaids,
