I’m new here. Cabg x 5 about 7 weeks ago. Dropped the codeine after about 2 weeks (weird dreams!) and slowly reading paracetamol. Following the advice, slowing increasing duration, not intensity of walking and only real problem is drain holes (2 of 3) not healing properly and starting a steroid cream to help with skin coverage. It is a slow process, live for the day, have bright hope for tomorrow 😍. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or more information. Grab whatever Rehab is on offer and be kind and gentle with yourself. You’re worth it.

I too had a quintuple bypass and 12 weeks to the day I was eager to get on my Triumph Bonneville 900 cc motorbike (at the age of 66) so you’re well on the way now. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Can you imagine my consternation when I came to from my CABGx2, feeling really weird and awful as I'm intolerant of morphine, and hearing the nurse describe me as a "cabbage"?!! I thought I was a goner!
