Hi, just had my 6 week checks after my triple. Had echocardiogram, ecg and heart x Ray and consultant was pleased with all. Now just on 125g Bisoporil, aspirin and Ezetimibe (can’t take statins) so happy to finally be moving forward after 3 courses of antibiotics for my leg wounds (5) still need a second pillow, having to lie on my back and paracetamol at bedtime ( love side sleeping but not quite there yet!) if anyone has just had this done, this is just to say it WILL get easier and I found deep breathing exercises helped me during the ‘overwhelming’ moments…..and of course this forum, love to all ❤️

I had some very dark days in the first 2 weeks which my GP likened to PTSD, it’s a lot for your body AND brain to take in! but slowly the shock of it all will lessen and mind and body will heal, good luck you’ve done the hardest bit 😊

Thank You :-)

To be honest I feel at the moment this is the hardest bit I have really gone down

I started getting twinges in my chest like I used to get last night frightened me half to death and in foods of tears , then my scar been a women where my bust meets in the middle so nearly impossible that has started weeping , I also got a sore at the bottom of my spine while I was in there getting no better so a few calls to make today but I thought all this would be behind me I am so tearful and feeling extremely depressed

Sorry for going on and Thank you so much for taking the time to reply :-) x

I’m sorry to hear this, make those calls. The right drugs will sort out the medical problems and you can then concentrate on the mind, I had 3 courses of antibiotics to sort leg wounds and it’s a worry at the time, but you will turn the corner ❤️

Thank you :-)

I have made the calls just waiting for them to get back to me I am sure they will and hopefully sort me out and put my mind at ease :-) x

6 years post CABG x 2-and all those feelings you are experiencing I would think are pretty normal 2 weeks post surgery. I remember experiencing ALL of those. Particularly sleeping upright on 6 pillows (Hope you're wearing your front fastening bra at night-took me ages to go without) and a numb bum. It's still very early days. But I also remember sitting thinking everyday my body is healing and getting better. Positive thinking-you'll get there. Good luck.

Thank You :-)

I actually for some reason am not needing pillows well extra ones can get in and out the chair fine and sleeping on my side fine not sure why I don't seem to be struggling just these few other bits and bobs I need reassuring about and thank you for helping to do that for me :-) x
