Pain medication recommendations for knee & ankle swelling & inflammation
I find that swelling in either of my knees or ankles triggers my RLS. Since I had a knee replacement 6 months ago, the swelling happens frequently as both legs readjust to the post-surgical healing. A new study revealed that ibuprofen and other NAISDS can cause fatal kidney disease, so my GP took me

Olaparib and Avastin
Hi All, I wondered if anyone is taking Oliparib, 600mg a day and also having 3 weekly infusions of Avastin? I started on the Avastin on the 2nd cycle of 6 cycles of carboplatin and paclitaxol. Having finished that regime I have now started on the maintenance treatment. Last month, a few days after the

Reaction to 5th covid jab
Hi not sure if I am worrying about nothing. I had my 5th covid jab this morning. I was given Moderna, my four others have all been Pfizer. I commented on the way home that I could really feel this one, I had absolutely no reaction to the previous four. My arm feels warm and I have a red swelling

How do you know it's adeno flare not something else? So much pain!
Hello ladies....hope you're not suffering too much today. 💕 My question is - how do you know it's an adeno flare and not something else? (I'm a wee bit scared right now). I'm on day 7 of my period - still bleeding bright red blood, medium to light in flow, but that's not overly unusual. My back pain

Avoid medication - and suffer!
There is currently, yet another post, about being newly diagnosed and wanting to be med free (a much abused term - many of the "Med Free's" get their levadopa from macuna instead of a pharmacy. That's like buying paracetemol from Tesco instead of a doctors prescription, and saying "I don't use pharmaceuticals

Feeling forced to take pain medication
For nearly 15 years I have refused to take any pain relief except from paracetamol this was mainly due to being a single parent with 4 very young boys and didn’t want to not be in control of myself or become dependent on any form of pain relief. 2 years ago I was in a really bad way regarding the amount

Changing treatment, had 12 months out of Kadcyla
Hi all, Not posted for a while, since having covid over Christmas I've had unbearable back pain, taking pain relief daily. Recent CT doesn't show any change to my bone mets, no nerves are being pinched either so onc can't attribute it to that, however the CT does show a 1cm progression in 1 of the liver
