Nerve pain and insomnia post hysterectomy
Hi, I am only 3 weeks post vaginal hysterectomy and laparoscopic surgery removing everything including cervix. All went well however I’ve been suffering with insomnia and awful what I can only describe as nerve pain….it feels like my skin is crawling and it’s constantly burning and prickling all over

Day 4 after circumcision
Day 4 is out of the way! Last night the stitches started to itch big time! However not today! How weird! Today the swelling was real but after taking ibuprofen and paracetamol the swelling seem to have gone down. I still see some blood dots (really small dot) when I change my bandages, hope that’s normal

Good day to all, just wanted to know your thoughts please (and please forgive my lousy english) My father has been suffering from pain on his mid section(mostly mid portion of the back and some on his abdominals). Sleeping has been harder because of this. On its first week he believes it was caused

Painful wrist.
I have had pmr for 3 years, a couple of flares along the way, now down to 6.5mg, just finished slow taper. Last year my right thumb joint at the wrist was very painful, I had an X-ray and it showed the beginning of some arthritis (had a fall and hurt it the previous year). But recently both of my wrists

‘Catching pain’ / spasms links to PMR?
OK I’ve been stupid - again. My partner is wheelchair bound: whilst on holiday (after three years) I pushed her up a steep hill to see some special wild flowers. I shouldn’t have done it. I now have severe catching pain / spasms (like a pinched nerve) between my shoulder blades which I feel must be some

What does everyone take for pain wise, my pain is just too much all I’m on is paracetamol as not much I can take due to allergy’s, I’m seeing another pain management to see if I can have anything stronger I’m really struggling! Also having surgery on the 5th may on my finger due to my finger constantly

Unsure what next to do
Hi all , the cyst I had previously has gone , I now have a nearly 4cm ? Haemorrhagic cyst or endometrioma. My symptoms are the same - low back pain , frequent pressure to urinate , already difficulty with constipation so use an anal rectal washout system , bloating feeling , nausea and low pelvic pain

When the NHS think you’re complaining about pain, after being left for 6 whole years as a ‘complex’ patients…..
I don’t think I could’ve put this better if I’d tried!….. And you all think it’s about ‘pain!’.. LOL! Been in ‘pain’ since I was 16! Never even had to treat it! Was able to fully push through it, to work 7 days a week being a full time carer to someone with such complex health issues they couldn’t tie

Fibro or arthritis pain?
How can I tell the difference between the pain Osteoarthritis and Figromyalgia. I had x-rays ten years ago that showed arthritis in my hips, lower back and knees. The gp mentioned that I've probably got Fibro as well. I have ME/CFS and they often go hand in hand. Over the last few weeks I have had bad

Possible flare
After writing my post three days go and feeling so good about myself. This is what happened next. I started experiencing pain in my shoulder blade on the left side, the opposite side from my fall. I immediately thought it had been caused by perhaps being over zealous following my physio exercises.

Coping with fibroids
Hi ladies, I have posted before about struggling with fibroids (I have groups of small clusters in my uterine wall) whilst trying to conceive but it’s getting worst and whilst I am waiting to see a gyno specialist (feel like this could be years away and private treatment is way beyond our means) I wondered

Quandary!!!
Good morning all 😀. I was diagnosed with PMR April 2021 15mg. Successfully tapered to 5mg and I’m now down to 4.5mg. I’ve been on 4.5mg for almost four weeks. I take enteric coated Pred at around 11pm . The last couple of weeks I’ve found myself waking at around 6am with quite severe pain in my arms

Sciatica hell
Hi. I have been diagnosed (over phone!) either sciatica. It crept upon me over a few days, no obvious cause, I've now had it 2 weeks. Its so very painful - a gnawing deep ache across right buttock down back of leg into calf. Can't get comfortable anywhere and difficulty walking without holding on
