I’ve had covid for 12 days. Started while abroad and thought it was just a cold. After a stressful end to the holiday arrived home, felt worse so did a test. I doubled my dose of Pred to 15 mgms (SDR) and have remained at that dose. I am not getting any worse but am not improving. Husband has had

Discharged
Discharged by Basildon Hospital Tuesday evening. I mentioned that I nearly blacked out to a nurse and a doctor when going to the bathroom in the afternoon but they seemed unconcerned. When I was about to leave I tottered backwards and had to have help with bags. I duly arrived home and went to bed early

I had cramping last night - like period pain, I took paracetamol and assumed I’d have my period this morning which I don’t think

urethra pain
Hi, I am new to this group. I have read some older posts that resonate with me. I started to have a pressure on my urethra to always feel like needing to go after I had just been. My doctor, without seeing me said OAB. So I have been on Oxybutynin, this has not agreed with me at all. So now Solifenacin

New symptom
Hello again, I have been tapering my Pred, I thought fairly successfully until a couple of weeks ago when I started to experience a new pain in my left buttock. Pain might be too strong a word but it's very annoying and today it's starting to restrict my walking. I had put it down to a strain from carrying

Would like your advice please, ?increase Pred
I was diagnosed with GCA in July 2021, but it wasn’t confirmed, partly due to the fact that I have a problem with my neck which requires denervation and my rheumatologist thought this could be the problem. However, she put me on 60mg of Pred, I got down to 12 a couple of weeks ago but felt so bad, as

Upping my dose?
I have been tapering very smoothly , 1mg a month and was on 6mg . I went to 5mg , had the adjustment aches and pains of getting used to the lower dose but they have not gone away and Paracetamol doesn't help . I have woken in the night a couple of times too in pain. So I am back on 6 but should I increase

Knees up !!
I have been having increasing pain in my knees and finding it very difficult to walk any distance and after sitting for a while very hard to get out of the chair - so I asked my GP for X-rays to see what the problem was as I didn't think it was related to PMR. the results show I have Osteoarthritis in

Hi All, Many have provided good advice or kind comments to me on my journey over the last year. I now have been through it myself (mitral valve repair). And yes it's far less painful than I expected it to be, if it wasn't for the throat waking up to a multitude of things having been roughly shoved in
