Chronic pain all over body

Since my last post I seem to have managed to regulate my body temperature a bit better I still get the odd day where I'm walking around in shorts and tshirt and yes it's been -1°c here the past few days but I'm getting there the only problem I'm having at the moment is chronic pain especially in my legs. I'm also getting pins and needles sensations in both legs from hip down to the toes still the orthopedic and physio and gp not giving anything stronger than paracetamol as they say I need to manage the pain, its debilitating I have a funeral to attend this coming week and I'm starting to stress now that I won't be able to make it. My other half has seriously considered calling 3 9s as he says I'm usually the strong one and don't let anything affect me but can see that I really can't manage and to do anything I've tried voltarol max strength with no affect and I have tried hot and cold treatments I can't take ibuprofen products in any form I keep being told its the fibromyalgia. I honestly don't believe it is fibromyalgia I believe its to so with my spinal issue and OA and fluid on my legs but I have tried everything I can think of so was wondering If someone could help with what they have done which has worked for them to see if is fibro related

Hello, you sound like you have tried very hard in dealing with awful pain so I am sorry to read you are going threw this right now, have you thought of seeing a different doctor for a 2nd opinion? It’s hard when we have something scheduled and we not might not make it on the day but hopefully the people that know you will fully understand, I missed a best friends dads funeral the other day but she was totally okay about it as she knew I had tried, take care it is very cold out there right now x

I have tried speaking with several Dr's and as they see that I have fibro they won't give me pain relief even when myself and the orthopedic and physio have told them I require stronger pain relief for the arthritis and the mechicanical issues with my spine and now been told on Tuesday that have arthritis in my spine too

I often think (even medical professionals) until they have walked in someone else’s shoes they won’t realise😩, this cold weather is playing havoc for me at the moment even though I am indoors mostly, I have oesteoprosus, arthritis along with fibro , so when I am in pain I don’t what’s what now , I think I need an X-ray as top of spine has become painful, and loud cracking noise in back /spine area . Sorry you are suffering we do understand and the frustrations in getting the right help x

Yes everytime I seem to speak to a doctor or consultant I have something new or arthritis as appeared I'm awaiting MRI of spine this will be the second to make sure the spinal cord is not causing the pain now too, and also had bloods today for bone profile and b12 and vitamin d along with thyroids now in my opinion the gp should of requested these but no its the orthopedic that has had to do it as she dont seem to be getting anywhere either with the gp surgery, since I have been in duloxetine as well on top dosage I have notice extremely dry mouth to the stage I'm waking up with bleeding lips, I drink excessive amounts of water to where when I was recently in hospital they had to restrict me as I had drank 21 x750ml in less than 8 hours and at the time I was on hydrating drip too which they also removed they ordered diabetic tests they came back normal so ruled that out have u ever heard of the extreme dry mouth. I do wake up at least 6 times a night for drinks to the stage ice had to put a table top fridge in the bedroom with drinks in to try relieve and have plenty of vaseline on them all the time. My gp doesn't believe I drink so much even when hospital ward even noted it to them. I've had kidney tests too to make sure they all working fine which they are I'm at the end of my tether now with what to do next

ask gp for nortriptyline it’s a nerve blocking drug my wife is on it for chronic regional pain syndrome I’m also prescribed it for nerve damage it’s an easy tolerated drug with low side affects compared to most other drugs if the gp won’t prescribe it you need to request to be sent to a pain clinic who will probably prescribe it if you ask for it if they don’t send you to a pain clinic it’s time to complain or get another gp if all that doesn’t help them I would advise getting some CBD oil as that works on everything it’s available legally online now in most places.

I have been referred to the pain clinic earliest appointment is July 2023 I was referred a few months ago so have to wait for this though I've been told by others that all they will do is cbt via Microsoft teams so not very hopeful

Forget the GP - You need to ask a nurse, an actual nurse who works in that field. They have far more understanding of helping patients with their pain and they won't tell you anything stupid or dangerous. Failing that lots of chemists are aspiring medical practitioners and understand drug reactions very well and might advise what you should be asking from from your doctor. They would tell you if something like codeine was inappropriate or could get you over this. Ovaries quite possibly have a connection with kidneys as regards temperature control - I'm basing this thought on Acupuncture stuff as I had a post partum rigor about two weeks after each of my kids. Some 'needles' might settle the temperature control. - By the way, see if the funeral is also being set up on Zoom. It's your alternative.

Update: been put back on codiene alongside the paracetamol for short period, had the bloods done that orthopedics requested and my vitamin d3 was extremely low and so was my folic acid extremely low been put on high dosage of both of these started them today so fingers crossed I will get some pain relief and now to wait for the orthopedics to contact regarding mri of my spine to make sure no changes, and also looking at other conditions too such has crohns and something else they mentioned fingers crossed I will get to the bottom of things.
