Hi All, Many have provided good advice or kind comments to me on my journey over the last year.
I now have been through it myself (mitral valve repair). And yes it's far less painful than I expected it to be, if it wasn't for the throat waking up to a multitude of things having been roughly shoved in it I probably could have made it through with just paracetamol.
It's an absolute miracle and whilst I can't walk any further than on my worse previous day at the moment, I can already feel it's different.
If anyone would like to ask anything please do so and if anyone is anxious waiting for this type of surgery, please can I set your mind at rest!
