Wider area pelvic pain - vague!
HI, new to this forum. I have Ischial tuberosity (sit bone pane, but not bursa, it's like sitting on bone) and glute pain. Mainly down one side but not always by any means. This effects the lower back and feels horribly awkward and often painful to sit or walk etc. I cannot walk far or drive far etc

Extreme pain after laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and cystoscopy with Endo and ovarian cyst removed
I had a laparoscopy yesterday as well as hysteroscopy and cystoscopy and they found endometriosis on my pelvic wall both sides as well as a cyst on my right ovary which was removed. I was in extreme pain yesterday when I woke up and no pain relief they gave me really took the edge off, I ended up going

HELP - Is the pill the only treatment?
I’m 20 years old and have struggled with my periods since they started at the age of 10. I was on the pill for 7 years but felt as though it changed me as a person (mood swings, depression etc) Ive now been off the pill for a year & a half and my ‘time of the month’ is a living hell, I’ve never experienced

Still in pain and waiting for MDT, any advice about pain relief?!?
Hi all, I've been diagnosed with stage 4 endo (bowel, uterus, ovaries ect all stuck together and may have gone into my bowel) and I'm waiting for the endo specialist to have an MDT meeting (happening 2nd march) in the mean time I've been trying different pain relief, so I'm now on the depo injection

Rheumatoid arthritis
Hi, I'm new here but have had rheumatoid arthritis for many years, since my mid 30s, I'm now 56. I was on methotrexate but came off it almost a year ago because of other complications. Now just on sulfasalazine for RA. I'm currently getting flares in my wrists and hands, but unlike previous flares

Newly Diagnosed looking for insight *waves*
Hello everyone, I can't be more glad to have found such an informative and good-willed site for all of us going through this journey. I'm 30 years old and was recently diagnosed with seronegative RA about 1 month ago, after having some strange symptoms for about 2 months. It all started after my mother

Dr making me want to yank my hair out! Told me hypermobility doesn't cause pain and won't help me!!!
Dr says my pain is in my head...I have JHS and already booked in for surgery (attached is a photo of my arthrogram... I'm just proud because I have a severe needle phobia and panic disorder... So when I was told I had to go in to have the needle done alone as it's done under x-ray, it was dangerous to

Naproxen instead of Prednisolone
Has anyone else been told to come of steroids and take Naproxen instead? I have been told to reduce from 5mg to zero (4mg this week then 3 then 2 etc )and use Naproxen instead as I’ve got low sodium I’ve had it before when I was first on Prednisolone and have had it since January it despite adding salt

Early Retirement from Work.
Morning Everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic pain syndrome. It has taken 4 years to get to this point as I also have spinal degeneration in my neck and lower back which was clouding the symptoms of the fibromyalgia. I had a spinal fusion on C4 C5 & C6 C7 last August but

Omeprazole prescribed to go along side Naproxen - First time - How do I take!?
I have been taking Naproxen for a few years now - Instead of having them as prescribed I have got by having 1 when my pain is so horrendous I can't cope and just dealing with the pain at other times. I have had to take a considerable amount more since I had my Mirena coil fitted and have also been prescribed

Update on kidneys and other stuff
Afternoon everyone, Sorry this might be a long one! Following on from my previous post (see link) I’ve had some progress with the doctors - I think? I thought if I ran it past you maybe it would all make a little more sense 🤞🏼 Here’s my previous post - https://healthunlocked.com/lupusuk/posts/142404359

Pericarditis
My ablation was on February 2nd. Next day woke to chest pains which were diagnosed as pericarditis. Because anti inflammatories like naproxen and ibuprofen are taboo with Appixaban I was put on colchicine. Side effects were horrendous so with symptoms gone I was told I could drop it. 3 weeks later pericarditis

Pain relief for period?!
I have called the nurses at our clinic but waiting for a phone call back so thought I would try here - we are due to start ICSI this month with short protocol. I have come on my period today after taking norethisterone for 6 days, and have my baseline scan booked for tomorrow. I am in agony with my period

Discouraged-looking for help!
Hi all! Looking for some advice, I have not been formally diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet however, it has been suspected from my GP. I have tried Naproxen, dicyclomine sodium and now I’m on amitriptyline to help me manage my full body chronic pain and chronic fatigue which also seem to not be working

Returning to work
Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice on returning to work after a RA diagnosis. I’m at the point of making a decision about returning to work and am so conflicted about what is best I was diagnosed with RA in November and prior to this I had a hip replacement in September, so I have been off

Please help, very new to all this
Hello, I’m very new to all of this and looking for some advice if possible. I’m 28 years old and up until I came off the pill a few months ago I have never suffered with my periods. Last year I was told that I had cervical erosion and needed treatment for this, I had the cells frozen away and was advised
