Appointment advice/cimzia/pain
Does anyone have any advice for me? On cimzia for 11 weeks now, I have an appointment next week, so will have been on it 12 weeks. I have noticed an improvement, but it's been very gradual. I've been able to reduce steroids from 7.5mg to 5mg and I take about half of the naproxen and codiene I was taking

What pain relief do you use?
Following on from my thread, I just wondered what pain relief you use? Naproxen, paracetamol, Mefenamic acid have done nothing for me. I'm currently on co-codamol 30/500 which is working but is saying my constipation to be worse than it is already. Does anyone use Amitriptyline? Thinking it might help

I've tricycled my pill and also had a mirena coil, which was removed due to bleeding after 3 years of having it. My endo symptoms have got worse over the

Muscle spasm and cramps
I am experiencing leg and feet muscle spasms and cramps. It happens during the night and they have me waking up and jumping off bed to stand up and stretch. The pain is unbearable on the bottom of my right foot, these are not 'regular' muscle cramps. I cannot point out which of my medications are causing

First nurse appointment
Today was my first rheumy nurse appointment. I had requested it due to elevated CRP and it was timely because on Friday my GP refused to prescribe MTX without another blood test even though one wasn’t due. Anyway, the nurse was absolutely lovely. She spent a full hour going through stuff and getting

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril

Rheumatologist appointment today…
I have been having a lot of problems with blood clots in my lungs the past two years. I am also having increased pain in my joints (including lower back). I have had to stop Naproxen because of the blood thinners I am on. I have had several prednisolone injections in my lower back, but the pain is still

G.p appointment
I have a g.p telephone appointment on Friday and I'm dreading it! He won't give me a face to face appointment as it's not classed as urgent, but it's very important to me. He just increased my propanol last time, which didn't help and have given me naproxen which make me feel sick. Can I insist on seeing

CRP and treatment
Sorry it's me again with a question about CRP levels now. My first pre-treatment blood test CRP =81 (Apr2022). After steroids and naproxen my level was down to 6. Started on MTX end Oct and CRP level remained low (as far as I know) though I did have to have another steroid course over Dec because of

Omeprazole
I know there has been many discussions about Omeprazole but I'm still undecided over using it. I've been on and off it since being on pred and never really had any issues. I did start taking it again when I had to take naproxen for something. Not taking Naproxen now and only did for very short time .

Exercising with active RA
It's been about 10 months now since my RA symptoms came crashing in and I was completely crippled within 4 weeks. Once I was given Naproxen and a little steroid boost I got to the stage that I was able to go for a 30 min walk (slow and painful but doable). I'm now waiting for MTX to kick in and am stuck

Back, Shoulder, Knee & Hand Joint Pain.
Hi, I had an X-Ray on both of my hands last April which confirmed I had Osteoarthritis in all of the joints in both of my hands. I have had shoulder pain in both of my shoulders for many years as my job is working on a computer. I started to have lower back pain in 2020 and always had pain in one knee

Pain relief failing - Help!
Hi, I’m new here but it’s been really interesting to read everyone’s posts and know I’m not going through it alone. I had a laparoscopy last June where they excised endometriosis from my pouch of Douglas. I was in agony before, so much so I had to take weeks off work (I’m a primary school teacher)
