Morning all, I've been in tremendous pain this past fortnight with this awful costocondritus. I've been popping ibuprofen in me every few hours to try and ease the pain. I was on naproxen but have had to rest from them as it was affecting my kidneys. I the ibuprofen last for such a minimal time, and

Amitriptyline for Endometriosis - what’s your experience?
I’ve tried several painkillers now: codeine, mefanamic acid, tramadol, codydramol and naproxen. They’ve now prescribed me Amitriptyline and I was wondering what anyone else’s experience was with this drug or any other medication they have found useful with managing endometriosis pain?

Post lap periods
I had a laparoscopy last month and yesterday came on my period. It’s my second period since the lap. Last months was painful but no worse than usual. With this one however im in the worst pain I’ve experienced in a long time. I’ve been continuously cramping since about 11pm last night with no relief.

HYDROCORTISONE TABLETS
Hi everyone on this forum, need some advice I'm very confused, I was diagnosed with PMR September 2013, by my GP and I've found this group very helpful, as like many I've never heard of it before. I've been on a slow taper after a flare last summer, and now down to 2mg and in a lot of pain in neck, shoulders

Help with results and consultant visit please
I've been increasing my meds the last 9 months in the hope that I will feel better. It has not worked!! That may be down to the fact that I went down with shingle on Christmas eve and still have nerve pain, so sleeping is difficult. I had an extreme allergic reaction to Naproxen, followed by an allergic

Anti inflammatories and Corvid
A neighbour who works for the nhs has just been sent a medical alert that they must not prescribe anti inflammatories for anyone with the virus as it makes the illness worse, especially in younger people. The exact post said "We have just been sent a medical alert that no one is to use anti inflammatories

Naproxen
Should I stop taking my naproxen due to the Coronavirus? I have cut down from twice a day to once but not sure if I should stop or it’s just if I get symptoms.

Naproxen
A friend told me today that taking naproxen or other anti inflammatory meds are not advised whilst this virus is about, if true how do we cope without them!

Naproxen
Was given naproxin last Thursday. It seems to be helping with the pain a bit. A bit is better than not helping.

Coronavirus & Methotrexate
I do hope this isn’t too stupid a question but as my joints are doing well and I’m now grounded (working from home) and otherwise well, am I the only person who has considered coming off Methotrexate to encourage my immune system a bit.... just until covid-19 is better understood and the ‘worst’ is over

I’m currently on my third period and call me naive but I thought the pain would go, my periods would be better (I had a regular

Before and after medication
Hello everyone, I'm 30 years old and I was diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis about 1.5 months ago, which was about 2 months after my symptoms started. On my visit to the rheumatologist, he wasn't sure what kind of arthritis I had due to my symptoms and prescribed me with 7.5mg methotrexate weekly

Decisions decisions
Had DEXA today and not good news (knew it wouldn’t be with 5 compression fractures already. Fracture risk with no treatment at least 24% over next 10 years. Consultant gave me choice of: Alendronate weekly but feels it’s not a good option as I already need a PPI just to take Naproxen Denosumab (Prolia
