Woohoo.
Also started daily
meditation
, simple thing but I couldn't be bothered for years. Always hungover or stoned. I'm smiling as I write this, I can't quite believe it. This is all I have ever wanted from life. To anyone who is starting the quit persevere, it is tough but what is the alternative.

a step in the right direction.
so there a few new things i’ve been trying out. 1) deep breathing (easier said than done when your anxiety creeps up constantly but takes practice). this can put your heart rate on a rhythm and helps with a more steady type of breath 2)
meditation
(also WAYYY easier said than done and also takes

The day after
I can push it off kinda with
meditation
, deep breathing, smoking pot (it’s legal where I live), but it’s just pushing it off — it’s still there, pulling me down. Somebody tell me it’ll get better. Somebody tell me I’m not alone.

New member: My OCD story
I tried mindfulness
meditation
, reading books on
meditation
, and going to church, and after months, the anxiety abated. Time passed and the intrusive thoughts lessened and I almost felt like my old self again by mid- 2018. Up until this point I still never read up on OCD besides on Wikipedia.

Can't sleep without alcohol. Any suggestions? Need help
I've tried
meditation
, or progressive muscle relaxation, and they help sometimes. Thinking maybe I need a new medication or to up the one I'm on. I tried Zoloft once and hated it. Stomach was in knots and I felt like a zombie. So I'm a little scared to try a new one.

Would you use digital strategies for a child with chronic headaches?
For example relaxing strategies (stories,
meditation
, audio books) and more active exercises (yoga videos). What do you think, would you use it? For me it seemed to be a good way to access many different approaches.

Struggling with social anxiety, I have tried everything from CBT, gym and
meditation
but finding myself withdrawing and struggling with anxiety every day. I’m thinking of going to the dr but don’t want anti depressants, what else can I do? Anti anxiety drugs?

Looking for advice - potential big life changes and I am barely functioning
More recently in the last year after intensive group therapy (for substance abuse), daily yoga,
meditation
and mindfulness practices I decided to (horror of all horrors) stop taking my medications.

I post because I stumbled across this little mini-series recently on Audible - it’s a conversation between 2 researchers on the science behind
meditation
. It you have ever been sceptical about the benefits and thought it all a bit of hippy, dippy nonesense - listen and think again!

I know I'm being stalked
rnb listen to alot of underground because their talents precede mainstream, I find beauty in some of everybody regardless of how dirty the outside or damaged the soul, and I know how to get litt of course, I guess now and days acceptance come at the small price of a facade man but I've gotten into

I have tried mindfulness and
meditation
with less success but I’m sure that’s about me rather than the processes.

when awake in the early hours….An interesting take on cortisol which I came upon whilst browsing
Thus the practice of four hours of prayer or
meditation
at the beginning of the day addresses the power of cortisol, harmonizes its effects, and harnesses the cycle for good.

Apart from eating better and being confident to exercise ( I'm worried to exert myself at the moment) has any of you seen positive impacts from
meditation
or yoga and any herbal remedies reversing CAD?
