Hello community! I am due to have an angigram next week. I'm 42 184cm and 81kg would like to understand what life after a balostent is like. Apart from eating better and being confident to exercise ( I'm worried to exert myself at the moment) has any of you seen positive impacts from meditation or yoga and any herbal remedies reversing CAD?

I’ve read many forum contributions. People mostly seem to do very well after stents. Be reassured. Also I would really support your idea of meditation or yoga, find out which one suits you. It’s v personal taste. It also seems really useful if stress or anxiety has been part of your life.

My view about how possible it is to reverse CADisease with herbal remedies is ‘it isn’t’ but I’m sure you will get lots of different views.

Just take care. Look for reputable information based sources.

Herbal remedies I don't do. But mindfulness and flexibility exercising, runnin, cycling, hiking and gym. Are all in my week. If stented then you have a chance for a new life. Embrace it. Enjoy

Life after a stent is just he same as it ws before except that you won't get as breathless; in fact it's better. I had a heart attack and two stents just over a year ago. The angiogram itself was nothing to worry about. I didn't feel a thing. I bruised badly with the first one but not even a pin prick with the second one. You will be on blood thinners for a year which will make you bruise at the slightest touch and probably aspirin for life plus other tablets they think necessary and probably statins . You should be invited to go to cardiac rehab. Do go. You may have unpleasant side effects from some of the tablets but see your GP and get them changed if they are bad. There are plenty of alternatives. You will almost certainly be told to change your diet to a Mediterranean type diet. The BHF forum has lots of recipes. Good luck.

Hi,

I had a Angiogram and was told that I had CAD and needed triple by-pass surgery.

This was a shock at the time and I asked if there was alternatives to surgery, new research if I could voluntary for new drugs but all the cardiologist said was that they have to stick within the guidelines of NHS and within UK no options. I spoke to a friend and he came across Dr Bimal Chhajer - a Indian cardiologist who was saying that it is possible to reverse CAD if you fully commit to his methods: Diet, Exercise and mediation.

Well as this was the only option available at the time and the hospital wanting to book my date for surgery. I views all the youtube videos by this Dr, viewed all of his website and purchased his DVD and books on Natural By-Pass surgery etc.

I refused to have surgery as I wanted to try out these methods.

At start of April 2019 I was 62, 89 Kg, 171cm heavy whiskey drinker and enjoyed my meat dishes.

Dr Chhajer suggests that:

Cholestrol is formed from animal products so I cut all these off. I'm about 99% vegan just have semi skimmed milk for tea.

Triglycerides is from Oils and Fat so I cut these out from most of my food.

This switch was very difficult at first but my family fully supported and most now eat the same as me. We are now fully commited and converted.

I retired at 60 after years of management roles, at 62 I got a manual / physically demanding role with lots of walking and lifting (so getting paid for staying fit)

I cut out all sad songs and stayed away from negative conversations, keep positive attitude and thoughts, keep away from any confrontations and always have min 30mins to myself

I know within this community there are people who disagree with my approach.

But now on 29Nov2019 I can report that I'm feeling great my weight is down to 74Kg.

I had an appointment with my GP and he agrees that there is nothing wrong in my approach and my weight loss and fitness shows signs of improvement in my health condition.

The GP suggested that we should have some blood tests and I can report that there is sufficent improvements in all my test levels and the GP was very pleased.

The cardiologist will be seeing me in January.

Well that's my jourvey so far, I'm a believer in reverval of CAD via natural means.

It's a bit long but hope its helps you.
