worried about colon issues.
hello guys, I’ve got a lot to run over. I’ve recently had bowel changes over the last year. Some red spotting very small on toilet paper. I’ve had hemorriods before and did a fecal test and no blood was found in my poop. I deal with constipation and feeling like I have to go but can’t sometimes or just

How difficult is it to diagnose Adenomyosis?
Hello, I hope you are all well and surviving the heatwave! Long story, but for 6+ years I have been experiencing worsening gynaecological pain. This started during ovulation and was a fullness within the pelvis and sharp pains within the rectum and to the lower right of my back/abdomen. Gynae referred

Hello I'm hoping someone could give me advice or be able to provide some support during this tough time which my wife is going through. I'm doing my very best to support her but feel like I can't do enough most of the time. I know we are lucky in that we have private medical insurance through my work

Should I see a councillor
Hi all I’m 3 weeks post quadruple bypass which came out of the blue and was a total shock. Then last Tuesday it looks like I had a post surgery HT. The mental side kicked in from almost the start which is something I have never suffer with, I thought I’d be over it now but I’m still having tearful times

Tired of living like this! There has to be a better way!
I am so tired of living like this. Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, childhood neglect. I feel totally stupid and useless today! I really do! Earlier this morning I tried to do a good deed, see a friend to drop off a gift. In the process I nailed a curb, to the point where my car, our only car is on it’s way

A breaking relationship
Hey. This is difficult to post but I very much need to vent and I don't know where else to go. I'm unhappy. It's been a slow build up but my relationship is struggling. It's the most smallest things that are tearing me up. He doesn't understand how alone I feel doing all the housework. He doesn't understand

Denosumab if bone strength increasing on ADT?
Hi everyone, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 PCa last year (multiple bone mets). He has responded well to ADT so far with PSA dropping from 500 to 0.65 in 14 months and corresponding decrease in PSMA avidity seen in scans. At the time of his diagnosis he was advised Denosumab because a Dexa scan

When Anxiety Strikes
“One [thing] I have learned is to live for the day and the moment rather than looking back to the past or worrying about the future. I also have discovered that it is best to live within my limitations—to step back and take things easy if I’m having a bad day. Otherwise I only find myself frustrated

Feeling ‘flat’ a year after bypass
I am a year post op after an ‘out of the blue’ heart attack and triple bypass. I have also been a Type 1 diabetic for 42 years. I had an unremarkable recovery. No problems apart from a wound infection months after operation when I also had COVID. I wasn’t really ill then either. My life has returned

Acute, major depression after 3-month Lupron injection, from a new poster
I haven't posted my prostate cancer bio here yet but I intend to in the future. I had a prostatectomy along with my seminal vesicles and the left side lymph nodes proximal to the prostate. Gleason 4+3 N0. The cancer had escaped the prostate which could only partial be removed since it was microscopic

Got medication but theres a catch
So this morning I finally got hold of a DR tried everyday last week. I told him about how I am feeling and he was trying to say my issue is due to returning to work. Even though Ive felt unwell before then. I asked him about treatment and he's telling me to refer myself to counselling. I tell him I need

Trying to get past best friend leaving the relationship
I had a best friend for most of my life. About 5 years ago, she started to exhibit controlling aspects to the friendship, and accused me of never being there for her, not being a good friend etc., to the point that just having her call me, caused anxiety in me. 2.5 years ago, I started seeing a counselor

Is anyone familiar with Canadian resources? (B.C. Canada)
It was suggested to me by a GP and my counsellor that I have ADHD and should be assessed (later found out that a psychologist also asked my parents to seek an assessment for me when I was in elementary school but they refused) I was referred to a specialist by one of the GP's, the assessment cost me
