Brain making up it's own reality post TBI?
Hi, Partner is 6 months in following TBI. Can't seem to find my answer on Google or here... but does anyone have experience where TBI survivor absolutely believes you've said something but you definitely haven't? There have been a few occasions since him being home where he says that myself or 4 year

Ivf- second round following death of baby
Hi All, Finally managed to get back onto the ivf train. We’ve had a series of counselling and are ready to start again. Scratch is booked for the 7th September and ivf month after. After our loss of our baby girl earlier this year at 24plus 6 days (baby lived 23 days) I just feel immensely stressed

Factors Identified for Risk of Second Cancer in CLL Following BTK Inhibition
There was hope that non-chemo CLL treatments would avoid the increased risk of subsequent secondary cancers, with concern about Myelodysplasia Syndromes and Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia (MDS and ALL) of particular concern with FCR, due to possible DNA damage to bone marrow stem cells. It was thought

Struggling right now
Struggling over here! A lot going on... bottom line, my husband and I are not getting along. He's not the most emotionally supportive person and I clearly have a mental illness. We've been together for almost 17 years, and have 2 small children together. I have an older daughter from a previous marriage

Feeling lost
My boyfriend and I have been together for three years and I love him dearly. He has gotten to be so hard to deal with lately that he is causing me to have regular anxiety attacks. He suffers from depression and unless pushed, doesn’t really do anything about it. Just mopes and complains and can be very

Job interview.
Dear ladies. I have got another interview on Tuesday for a job as a care assistant. I will let you all know how I get on with it. I am feeling confident about it and looking forward to it very much. I can't wait to get back to work now. I have got to find out what the job entails and then see if I want

Was this CBT or Counselling?!
Hi everyone, I have been suffering from OCD for quite a few years. Recently I have been having free therapy through the NHS. I have had about 5 sessions up to now that have made me feel better but my last couple of sessions with my therapist have been quite not what I have expected them to be. My last

I have Anxiety since my childhood, craving a new life
Hey, this is my first post in this forum. I live with my mom and sister. My sister and I are brought up by our single mom. When I was 8, my mom and dad got divorced. My mom was a victim of domestic abuse. My dad was a drug addict. My dad just hated my mom, he always had a doubtful mind towards her. I

Pre conception counselling
For those who have seen my previous post. My counselling is tomorrow and I’m pretty nervous. It’s just dealing with all the thoughts and feelings that are coming back. Taking my daughter out for breakfast before my appointment tomorrow

Closing a chapter
So after 12 years 2 IUI's, 2 failed IVF's and 3 transfers via DE I completed my family earlier this year. I have 2 beautiful boys oldest is 6.5 and youngest now 9 months. I have been part of numerous forums for advice and support. Fertility and IVF is such a rollercoaster of emotions. There are days

Coping with Anxiety and Depression
I havent seen a doctor in 2 years, and that is when i got my anxiety diagnosis. They never sat me up with therapy and counseling and i could never find one. Been on and off welbutrion (i always get off of it because of medication fears) trying to use coping skills and natural anxiety and depression suppressors

Trying new things causes fear, which leads me to feel like throwing up
Hi there guys, I'm excited to have finally found a support system where we can share how we feel and where we dont seem crazy to one another. I've had anxiety for most of my life (18 years old) but when I was younger it wasn't as bad as it is now. When I was about 5 years old I was one of the most outgoing

Hospices
I would like to praise the hospices . My husband was referred to our local hospice about eight months ago , by his consultant , after discussing with us that there was no more medication to help . I am his carer , and the difference it has made is huge . He has Aspergillosis , Emphysema , an inoperable

FND/NEAD awareness posters in waiting rooms?
Hi, Does FND Hope provide anything like this? We see them on the walls of waiting rooms for every other condition? I have just had the most devastating experience of this condition so far. If I didn’t need counselling before I will now. I am hormonal and this is a huge trigger for me. Yesterday

Oups I did it again
So here we go again, I have walked out of my oncologist appointment feeling utterly frustrated ... A year on and I have still not sussed how to maximise that 5/10mn four weekly golden encounter... Everytime I rehearse in my head what I want out of it , the questions I have , the tone I want to use ,
