feeling let down
Since my husbands heart attack in May last year I have been doing everything I can to help him recover and stay well. He had a very serious heart attack (widow maker), occlusion of his LAD with no viable tissue left to stent or bypass. He has been told by every health professional he’s ever met that

Anxiety
Since my aneurism ruptured and recovery I've found my anxiety and depression hard to deal with at times. I have sought help from my gp and I am back getting some counselling again . It's the sense of loneliness and isolation that grips me sometime. I have blood cancer and I'm a carer for an elderly

help with nightmares from ptsd
in October I had to put down my service dog that I rescued, she has lymes that we were treating and it came back almost every other month. I knew I didn’t have a lot of time left however the vets kept giving false hope that I had more time then I actually did. When the day came to put her to rest and

Intrusive thoughts
I finished my series chemo (first time I've had it) almost a year ago. Great news! But, I have to go for 3monthly checks and am finding it really difficult to forget about cancer. I get lots of intrusive thoughts about it. I'm about to have a second series of counselling, just wondered what anyone else

Mental health
It's appreciated someone thought to put me in the mental health hub category although I haven't requested it. Although there have been periods in my life when situations have arisen that have caused me psychological distress I am not in need of psychological support. I was a counsellor for over 20 years

can’t get this out of my head
I’m Mark, I’m 49 in 2017 I underwent surgery. I ended up in intensive care, I suffered sepsis, pneumonia, multi organ failure and was put in an induced coma. My Glasgow coma scale score was 3, my family were told I was unlikely to survive. I did survive and the intensive care staff told me its a miracle

Doctors review and anxiety
hi hope you are ok out there. I am okay but I am still struggling with fibromyalgia pain and a bit of fatigue, I asked for a doctor's note and got another one but felt two weeks is not enough due to anxiety issues and I have been told that I have a panic disorder coupled with a bit of agoraphobia anxiety

HANG IN THERE.
as a severe sufferer just want to let all my people know that you can live with it, hang in there when times are tough. There are ways to cope maybe not right away but over time it must become your friend not your enemy. Living with Tinnitus is a mental game not a physical. You Just have to find what

Apologies for the long post. My son always had difficulties with concentration/working memory at school but was a happy, polite, co-operative kid so we, and his teachers, never considered ADHD. Things got worse into his teens. He was always in trouble for not doing homework and could not do maths at

Parent looking for help
Hello, my son is 14yrs old was diagnosed with ADHD and Executive Function Disorder with underlying depression scores. We paid out of pocket for a professional evaluation by a psychologist with a battery of tests and interviews. This was about two years ago prior to COVID. We did on and off counseling

Family member in ICU after heart attack
Hi everyone, I’m new here and have had whirlwind of a week. We have a family member in ICU at present and under sedation, there are a lot of complications too. We are hoping that they will regain some strength to then have a heart repair operation. we’ve been told that it will be a long road to recovery
