I’m on this site as I’m feeling stupid after an anxiety attack yesterday. I knew it was anxiety but just couldn’t stop it.
I’m 9 months post out of blue heart attack at 59yrs. I’d had no risks & I exercised 4 times a week. I was fit. It’s left me with heart muscle damage, reduced ejection fraction and abnormal heart rhythms. I’ve got medication galore. I’ve been doing well- some psychological bumps but had support and felt

Lupus, life, and counselling
Well fellow lupies, 😜 I've had my first appt with a psych today, bar neuropsych 😆, and have got it done privately. Costly, but if it's something I need then it's priceless to me. Well, you may ask why now? Why counselling? Well lupus can take your sense of identity and not only that but those who knew

Beginning to readjust to life with PMR
As you may know, I am fairly new on here. Diagnosed promptly at the beginning of March I am learning how to readjust and learning what I can and can't do. I did far too much on Friday so I know I will rest all day today . I have ordered some decent frozen meals from COOK for the days I'm too tired.

Recently diagnosed with anxiety, looking for some guidance and understanding
Hello everyone. I am new here. I have been struggling with anxiety lately and I wanted to share my experience here and speak with anyone who is interested in talking to me about it. I’d like to hear from anyone, whether you are having a similar experience as me or whether you’re just open to sharing

Living with assymetry
Hi! I suffered a broken jaw after an attack from my ex boyfriend nearly 8 years ago now. I’ve been left with an asymmetrical face on both sides and it really affects me day to day. Some times I’m better than Others but i think about it every single day and it makes me really depressed. Has anyone been

Life long Suffering
I've suffered from depression as far back as a child as I can remember. My family dynamics was a physical, mental and emotional abuse by a parent. I've gone thru numerous medications, counselling, group therapies, etc. Although some of these examples have been helpful, I still find myself going down

How do you know when a job is not a good fit due to ADHD weaknesses or if you need to quit? Would career coaching help?
I've been at my job for 6 1/2 years. I have a boos who cares and really wants me to succeed but she needs results. I have had issues with time management, prioritization, lack of confidence, indecisiveness... and have been unable to meet productivity expectations for almost the entire time. My boss

Sharing a Story.....
I just replied to a post with a memory, and thought it might be good to share with more people: Here goes..... Even Therapists have bad days. Imagine if your whole work day, every day, was spent listening to unhappy or negative people, then going home and wondering if you really make any difference

Looking for ADHD support, diagnosis, counseling etc in Philly area.
I am an adult with ADHD diagnosed in my teenage years. I lost my papers a while back and since becoming a mom of two and in early menopause (I'm 43) my symptoms are so difficult and effecting my mental health and production. I feel like I am swimming just to keep my head above water and it is unfair

I feel like my parents seriously let me down.
Hi, new here and looking to vent. I'm sorry if this reads like a rant, but I'm just so angry and frustrated right now. Background: I'm in my mid-twenties. Second of five. My parents are immigrants; my dad was a corrections officer, and my mom was a nurse (not working right now). My older brother (

Heart is aching
I'm in a lot of pain right now. My relationship with my girlfriend who I have known for 7 years, and been with her in person for 4 years, and also have 2 daughters with her is feeling pretty broken right now. I am not sure if the damage that has been done to our relationship is repairable. When we first

No hope
So my partner keeps telling me to fuck off. And keeps flying off the handle. We’ve had issues and problems from day one and just don’t work. I was in a situation where at 37 I had given my best years to him and just been victim to his awful life and thought it would be best to have a child here then

Really need insight
Thank you for your kind words. I am at a loss where to get her the proper therapist and psychiatrist. She has been out of the hospital almost 5 weeks, medicated but doing better but told me she is still having some intrusive thoughts of harm to the children and she is honestly the best mom. Her therapist

Parkinson’s Awareness Day
An article I’ve written to raise awareness of Parkinson’s. Feel free to share outside this group. So you think you know about Parkinson’s Disease? It’s an illness that affects older people, mainly men, and causes a tremor, right? If that’s the extent of your knowledge, you’re not alone. That is what
