Second opinion
Although my bloods were consistently up, and going up, my first haemotologist said he was very surprised at my BMB result of ET. He also told me he is an optimist, while putting me on daily asprin, a plan to watch & wait. At the outset of Covid in February 2020, he sent me of on my merry way while saying

Pre-conception counselling
Has anyone had pre-conception counselling? I imagine lots of people will have I just wondered what your experience of it was/is? I commented on a post a few months ago saying I would be happy having an only one and it was the right choice for me but I just can't stop the feeling that I would like another

Alex TLC Counselling Grants
Please complete our poll on Health Unlocked! We are asking you 'We are hoping to offer grants to help individuals and families affected by Leukodystrophy to access counselling. Would you be interested?' We think the grant would be really valuable in providing an option for individuals affected by Leukodystrophy

I apologize for my last post
Hi all, I’m crawling out of my hole some more today. I realize I may not have been clear with my past and it was taken out of context. To clarify, no, my husband isn’t abusive, he just has alot of past trauma himself and was triggered and really stressed out and handled it in bad a way. I realize now

Confusion As To Next Treatments - Carboplatin and Cabazitaxel
Thanks in advance! I was diagnosed at age 76 with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer that has spread extensively to bones, lymph nodes and lungs. My profile contains a complete description of events including lab work, scan results and treatments. That was in June 2020. After treatment with Cosiodex

Going into rehab
I fell off the wagon just before Christmas, no excuses, just major family stress reasons which I didn't cope with. Had an endoscopy yesterday to reassure myself I wouldn't have a bleed in there. I am absolutely terrified of detoxing on my own, away from husband etc. They use benzos and anti-emetics to

Teetering on the edge
I feel like I am going crazy. For a while I felt like my ADHD meds were great, but recently I feel this intense anger and it scares me. I mean, at the slightest thing that's challenging I can lose my shit and end up crying and screaming at my inability to handle whatever it is that I have to do. For

Ongoing OCD, PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression
Hey everyone, I'm new here but not new to OCD and my other disorders. I'm 37 and have been dealing with them most of my life. I was fortunate as a kid to have good insurance, which led to me getting diagnosed and treated in my teen years. I've have lots of counseling and have taken various medications

Assessment from Psychiatrist and Psychologist counseling
Hello everyone, I visited a Psychiatrist for my ADHD issue, dr. prescribed Atomoxetine Attera 18mg tablets once every day and to increase the dose after a week, he also recommended to get Psychologist tested and counseling to test my intelligence. FYI, Atomoxetine is not a cure, I need to take it consistently

Feeling v lost: When you reach the end of the line - any tips for counselling, support groups?
First, apologies this isn't a very inspiring post. None of us want to get to this point and all hope we won't and probably don't want to read about it! It feels like the bit of the 'journey' which in many ways is the least supported and discussed, perhaps even a bit taboo. Please look away if this isn't

ADHD or something else?
My ADHD spouse will eat everything in the refrigerator, even if it belongs to someone else or was for a group. He eats dozens of cookies baked as gifts, an entire tray of meat balls cooked for shared dinner. I at one point had a locked food cage to keep him off of other peoples things. When asked

Feeling helpless
Hi… very new and nervous to all this and not sure if anyone can help me. A little bit of background as there too much to say - I’m in my 40s, 2 children (19,16) a VERY lovely, thoughtful and caring husband who would do anything for me and very good successful job. 12 years ago, I cared for my mum

Update
Hello all! I’ve been away for a while. I wanted to work on taking control of my anxiety. I’ve been learning to live better with my Generalized Anxiety Disorder. GAD. My doctor wants to refer me to a specialist. They’d be able to better analyze what medication I needed and provide counseling. I’m hopeful

Lost & alone. Please help
My husband of 33 years feels the need to correct my behavior. While I am grateful he no longer does so in public, my father-in-law and my son have stood up to this behavior in the past, he still feels the need to do so in private. The shame and humiliation I feel are still there. Now that I have been

Specialised Counselling
I wondered if anyone has had specialised counselling that dealt with chronic pain, multiple operations, complications and infertility. I think that I really need counselling but I want someone who understands what I've been though.
