IBS/WEIGHT LOSS
I suffer from IBS and have also gained weight during lock down. I am looking for a dietitian to be able to set up a weight loss diet plan to take into consideration the FODMAP diet and the foods that I like. Basically I want a tailored made weight loss diet plan. I don't know if I could get this through

Has anyone tried low dose naltrexone? How did it go for you?
Apparently it can lower TPO antibodies, which in my case, even after removing gluten, dairy and soy, are very high (960). Has anyone tried this?

Post Rifaxamine
Hi to all, I have just finished a course of Rifaxamine for SIBO, (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) have read that they knock out all bacteria both good and bad! What should I be doing now to encourage the good back and discourage the bad bacteria….. I have a very limited low carb low fodmap diet

Treating AI Hashi's & coming off Levo - is it possible??!
Hi there. I have Hashimoto's and my aim is to eventually come off the Levo by somehow treating the autoimmunity. I'm on 100mcg atm but i hate taking medication and I don't want to be on it for life. I've been on it for 4 years now so I worry I'll never come off it. Started at 25mcg and increased dose

Low carb eating - 99p Kindle book recommendation.
This kindle book is available just for today at 99p (- Sunday 1st August 2021.) You can also download a free sample first, to see if it it suits, as I did, but as this doesn’t get to the recipes chapter - and because I find the rest of it a good read, especially the supplements advice, about which

LC Cooking and baking
The last few weeks I have been venturing into the world of keto baking, inspired by several other HU users. This is my successful courgette bread. I made some very nice sandwiches with it last weekend. It has 1g carb per slice and it was a very simple recipe. Next to it is my unsuccessful "cloud" bread

Manuka honey and Pancreatitis 🍯 🐝
Hi everyone, apparently honey is good for the pancreas as honey has many healing qualities and this is especially so with Manuka honey as Manuka honey contains Methylglyoxal which's a very powerful antibacterial agent and is what makes Manuka honey special as all honeys have antibacterial qualities

Low or very low protein diets. If you've no uremia, will you obtain any benefit?
I had uremia at CKD3a/b (uremia =higher levels of urea than there ought to be present in your blood). I was at 13.5 when the normal range is 2.5 to 7.8 (thankfully, I'm now at 6.4 due to diet). Because I had uremia at CKD 3a/b, I assumed everyone else would have some sort of uremia at CKD 3a/b. When

Peake flow personal best
Hey guys, Just wanted to know how often people adjust their personal best peak flow? Mine is currently set at 500 but I've been done at 85% of that for at least a month now. Just want to get an idea of everybody else's timings.

Lercanidipine and losing weight
Hi I’ve been on this medication for a few months now and so far so good. However, 4 weeks ago I started a weight loss regime & ive genuinely been strict- hardly any alcohol, low carb and cut portion size in half. I’ve even been sure to continue at the weekend. Initially I lost 2 pounds but for the last
