Blood test results
Hi, in my recent blood test results calcium, potassium and sodium levels were above normal range (all others, including LFT, ALT were normal range). I try to follow low sodium diet. GP has asked for repeat test. Has anyone else have similar results. So far only diagnosis is mild to high Fibrosis.

Increase in symptoms but peak flow normal?
Sorry for this long thread but I need some advice, I will also be sending a similar email to my specialist hoping she can help me out too. So at my last visit I was pursuaded to give fostair another go for my eosinophilic asthma as symbicort is not bringing the eosinophilic down enough. (Never got on

Combining P13K inhibitors with Keto diet for cancer.
Mouse study but shows the relationship between P13K inhibitors and how a very
low
carbohydrate
or ketogenic
diet
can allow them to work against cancer. They also compared metformin to the keto diet in this regard. It is pertinent because there are already 2 FDA approved P13K inhibitors.

In need of help!
My mother has Chronic Kidney Disease. Her kidneys only have 30% function due to damage from a medication she was put on. Now, she has to go on a low-carb low potassium diet, and we have no access to a dietitian since we're in a rural area! Her new kidney specialist has basically told her to do this without

Hi, I was diagnosed with Asthma nearly 2 years ago, and today had my annual review. Very positive on the whole, good control, good inhaler technique and my personal best peak flow has improved.. however she has advised me to be particularly vigilant this hay fever season (my biggest trigger), as I'm

Just got back from seeing the nurse for a review. Why is it every time I get through their doors it starts heart beating too fast. When she took my blood pressure was really high. 170/98 that’s way high for me usually I was borderline 5 years ago so I think I need something got to go back next week

LCHF, Keto... Intermittent Fasting seem to do some of us good - BUT, what about our immune system?
A lowered immune system can afflict many of us with hypothyroidism, adrenal issues, CFS/ME... stuff that many of us have accumulated over the years. How about this re influenza? https://medicalxpress.com/news/2019-11-ketogenic-diet-flu-virus.html?fbclid=IwAR1geNIfF_VU4Tl_f9Sc5Aj9c1hC7S-YlzUK_mMYfDFMBg-Fq6xSEMDfGrA

Slow cooker, black beluga lentil sweet potato and veggie bake.
Hi everyone, I've been eating quite a lot of black lentils and green ones and they make a great alternative to a mince or processed veggie mince. Beluga black lentils are also a good source of iron as 40g cooked contains around 20% of our RDA of iron and I really like their taste. I made a stock with

A plateau and now looks like I’m on my way up again! 😱
Hi all, I almost 8 months into my low carb lifestyle and in the main I’ve been pretty pleased. But I’ve been going up and down with the same few lbs since August. I started at 202 and have been on the 170s for a couple of months. I saw a peek at 171 about three weeks ago but this morning 176! I suspect
