Inherited CKD
Hello, I was wondering if there is anyone on this forum with inherited CKD? My great grandmother, grandmother, uncle, aunt, and mother have had,or have passed away from complications from ckd. The only thing present in our family is the disease. There seems to be no underlying cause. I am 42 years old

Low Dose Naltrexone for Depression?
Has anyone here ever tried LDN (low dose naltrexone)? Did you find it helpful? How can one find out if they are deficient in endorphins? You can also take a look here at this interesting and informative article: https://medium.com/@hablerannie/breaking-the-stigma-of-depression-with-ldn-7c5a7ba8ba0e

LCHF Dilatory Pattern disturbed briefly -SUGAR LEVEL NOT COMING DOWN .....Afterward!
As an adherent of LCHF diets since 2015 I have been managing my Type 2 condition very satisfactorily. My readings have been around 120 until June 2019. I was trapped into a situation where I was forced to do away with my controlled diets for about a months’ time leaving me with readings around 160

Wheezing with peak flow meter
Hi. I noticed that when I use my peak flow meter, a high pitched sound comes out when I’m blowing into it. I don’t ever wheeze, but this is the one time when it sounds like I’m wheezing. Anyone know why I’d only hear it when I’m measuring my peak flow?

How to blow into the peak flow apparatus
Can someone give me some knowlege, please. As a copd cum asthma sufferer I get 2 reviews per year. The last was a while back and I am due a second. This second one will act as a major determinant for my upcoming taxi driver's medical. My clinic hasn't used the peak fliw for over 8 years, but rather a

Hi there! I’m day 4 into covid and would love to compare notes with other asthmatics who have it. I started with a very sore throat then had a terrible headache and body pains. Too much fat
I’m on my 5th day of LCHF and tonight I thought I would cook the meatballs with tomato’s and spinach and mozzarella. Looked lovely but I could only manage a few mouthfuls it was just so oily and greasy, was making me feel sick to be honest. Is it because I’m not used to eating so much fat in my diet.

Clenil side effects?
Hi all - first post. I have mild asthma, which is normally asymptomatic, and only appears sometimes after a bad cold, which goes on to affect my chest. I have an asthma review annually and the asthma nurse knows and approves of the fact that I do not normally use a preventer, unless I start with a cold

LCHF substitutes
I'm looking at my favourite recipes to see how I can adapt them. Normally I would have used some flour to form a roux for thickening sauces and added breadcrumbs when making meatballs, burgers and so on. Are there effective substitutes?

Has weight loss improved your thyroid problems?
I've been reading a lot about the connection between hypothyroidism in weight gain and obesity. It's long been believed that hypothyroidism causes/contributes to obesity because of the metabolic effects of same, but there seems to be more research being done that questions that theory and now some researchers

Low Dose Naltrexone for ADHD?
I am just wondering if anyone here is familiar with or has possibly tried low dose naltrexone and if it helped to relieve their ADHD? I recently read a patient interview where a woman found it very effective and I've heard from several other people that they were also prescribed it. (https://www.ldnscience.org
