Dreary weather
Thought I would have a cook in today as the weather is a tad chilly and dreary. Managed to make my low carb (11g per roll) rolls - crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside, and have cooked roasted beetroot and carrot to go with a couple of lamb chops for tonight.

Are You Struggling?
There have been a few posts lately where people are getting a little discouraged and wondering whether LCHF is for them. Well, first of all, the biochemistry is rock solid, and when applied properly the results are there for EVERYONE. Basically, ALL diets have one thing in common - whether low carb

Success thus far!
I've been watching everything I eat, and because of being pre-diabetic, I avoid sugars, processed foods, breads, and grains and try to eat more like the
LCHF
type
diet
. I do let myself have blueberries every day.

Palpitations - Once NDT started, how long before they might stop? Beta blockers?
I started taking NDT last month and have feeling so much better, I feel like pinching myself every morning! Energy levels improved dramatically, sleep length back to normal, exercise tolerance gradually improving, no more 2 hour afternoon naps needed, acne disappeared for the first time in many years

Sabotaged my LCHF eating
Hi I don’t know what’s going on at the moment with me, but, it seems all I want to do is rebel against LCHF. I appear to have got in a rut with eating, I’ve started to have strawberries and cream after my main meal as I just don’t feel full, in the beginning I ditched the puddings. Now I’ve discovered

Homemade gluten free quiche for lunch
Hi everyone, Here's a slice of home made gluten free quiche that I made, I saw this recipe in Bette Hagman's gluten free recipe book. First cook potatoes then mash with a little butter and milk season spread into. casserole dish and blind bake in an oven until slightly crispy. While this is baking

Well what a week , I am afraid that the LCHF went out of window , after the storm hit we had no power or water , we had to eat what was on offer , I did try but am afraid it was mainly stuffed full of cards . Now I back home I dont know what to do , start again or just be thankful that I have food lol

I like low carb
Having decided to go down this route I am finding that I really like it. Today's food diary is: 1 Weetabix, greek yogurt and mixed berries mushroom omelette (lunch) trout fillet, stem broccoli, avocado (cut into wedges, roll in almond flour and paprika and fried) After all that thought early morning

Interesting findings re a fib/ low carb
A new report from China has linked the risk of developing atrial fibrillation with low carbohydrate diets. The investigators came to this conclusion after analyzing the health records of nearly 14,000 people in the United States who were enrolled in the long-running Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities

I hate Sunday
the sun is shining, just wish the buses were running, oh well better change the bedding. Food planned for today, I had the rest of my low carb pancakes with grilled bacon and sugar free maple syrup. Dinner is going to be fake KFC using almond flour and spices for the coating, coleslaw and hallumi fries

Difficult day
Today is my birthday, the first one on my own since my husband passed away recently but I didn't want to crash the healthy eating (can't get to the shops anyway) so as a treat I cooked myself some low carb pancakes with fruit and yogurt for breakfast and even found a low carb lemon cake for later on.

DIEP flap
I'm considering doing this type of reconstruction surgery instead of implants, as I'm quite large breasted and it would feel much more natural I think. Does it? Do the drains hurt while in? While being taken out? Honestly, another reason the DIEP was chosen is I've recently lost 70 pounds (purposely)
