Some problems seem to arise when people get bogged down in counting and ratios and timings. For me, the beauty of LCHF is you don't have to count anything.
OK, in the induction phase you might need to or want to, but, beyond that, it shouldn't be necessary. If we place the emphasis on knowing where the main carb sources are and building tasty meals without them, that would lift a lot of the anxiety. dietdoctor has great visual guides to higher and lower carbs in different food groups: using them, or similar tools, as a reference, we wouldn't go far wrong.
I completely agree. One of the big mistakes of the Nutritionism brigade is telling people to measure and count stuff. It's pointless. If your body is working properly, there's no need to do this, and people who eat LCHF tend to have bodies that work properly.
The ONLY animals on the planet who are overweight are human's who hunt low fat prey - unless of course they are in the thrall of those humans - cats and dogs being fed biscuits for God's sake!
Yes, I think you’re right. I’m very grateful for all the knowledge and advice from people on this forum. You’ve all helped me enormously. Thank you!— For me, the massive benefit that keeps me going, regardless of weight loss, is the reduced hunger and loss of cravings. Bliss, finally 😊
