Touching base....
Hey friends! I haven't posted in quite some time. Last fall I had an Anterior Cervical Fusion surgery and in December I had a Total Knee Replacement Surgery. I've healed well from both, but have ended up with a constant ringing in my ears and have been pretty down about it. My RA is still fairly

Time to give myself a shake!
Morning. I’m not new to weight loss or slimming clubs but I’m new to the site, so hi! I’m 53 and have stage 3 osteoarthritis in my knees and struggle to just walk let alone use the stairs. I had a left knee cartilage repair last year and a steroid injection and now the only option left is a knee replacement

I really admire the people on this forum
Since joining the forum I have had the opportunity to read a lot of the posts and replies. This has given me a major insight into the problems and difficulties that you all face. I wonder how I would/will cope as things progress. I hope I can be as strong and resilient as you. I also realize how fortunate

LVA in the Baltimore area?
I am having a consultation for LVA in late March; have any of you had this done in the Baltimore area at Johns Hopkins, or if you are in the US, would you be willing to discuss the procedure and outcome by phone? My lymphedema is in the left foot and leg, and I had a total knee replacement in that leg

Injured again 😫
So having taken 4 weeks longer to do the C25K due to a knee strain (from my knee support as it turned out) and after a good couple of weeks since graduation building up and getting 3 good runs a week (one shorter speed building run two 5ks) I’ve got medial tibial shin stress - yep the dreaded “shin splints

Good news for once
Hi I had lung function tests done yesterday (I have mild pulmonary fibrosis) and the physiologist showed me the comparison with the last lot 6 months ago. There is a slight improvement. Then today I received a copy of the letter my rheumatologist has sent to my GP following an appointment last week and

Do any of you have complex regional pain syndrome? The doctor seems to think the pain in my leg is this syndrome. When I look up the symptoms they don’t really fit what I’m feeling. I had TKR almost 2 years ago and still have pain in the back of my knee. I’m so frustrated with the doctor because he

Using Naproxen
Morning everyone, I have not been on this site for some time but even though I am managing to reduce my medication I still have bad days. Yesterday I woke up and every part of my body seemed to hurt. I am getting over rotator cuff surgery and I need a knee replacement but yesterday was a bad day.

A few helpful thoughts
This was posted by Vicki Deem on the Yahoo group cbdg_support. I found it a good review for me and possibly helpful for the newbies. BTW Vicki's husband was treated as a CBD patient but brain donation showed Primary Lateral Sclerosis. I guess that donation is the only way to find out what truly is the
