Anyone had a knee replacement? Any cautions or advice?
I received my cadaver transplant 15 years ago and it continues to function well. My right knee, in significant pain when walking, has been scheduled for April for a knee replacement. Does anyone have experience with a knee replacement? Thanks for any advice or information. Sara Eads

Info on "Prolozone therapy"
Earlier today I ran across a post about something I never heard about-Prolozone therapy- evidently a type of homeopathic? series of injections for joint pain that helps rebuild cartilage and may help people to avoid knee replacements and the like. The poster was <Kayakcarole>. Haven't been able to find

My ITP
I have ITP since 2009 and its a frustrating journey to say the least. My platelets do good for awhile and then bottom out like down to 30,000. I have a had a bone marrow biopsy three years ago and nothing was found all negative. And whenever I face surgery I have to be put on prednisone like I am now

Hello everyone. My name is Ruth and I'm 43 years old. Before I begin, I must apologise in advance for this long post, but implore you to read on. My family on my father's side are all afflicted with heart disease, and in the case of my grandparents, this proved fatal. Two of my uncle's have had quadruple

Hi to all my fellow A-fibbers..... Just found this blog after I googled, is A-fib forever? I had a revision of a 15 year old failed total knee replacement early August of 2017. Four days post-op I had my first A-fib episode completely out of the blue. I am a retired nurse so when I experienced the

Baby with ToF..looking for reassurance ❤️
My baby boy has just turned 6 months. He was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot antenatally so we were aware of the situation. For the first few months, he showed no real signs or symptoms and was on the list for elective surgery between 4 and 6 months. At Christmas time, when he was 4 months old, he

Exercise advice please
Can anyone give me advice about exercise. After my PD diagnosis about a year ago I began trying hard to get walking, working up to 30 minutes a day. But I have a bad knee with osteoarthritis. I was booked for a knee replacement but couldn't have it because I had heart issues. I now have a pacemaker

Another trip to see specialist......
I had a knee replacement in 2009,but it wasn't done right. They stitched my tendons back and still it wasn't right. I ended up getting a second opinion whereby i was told a straight joint in a bent leg and the brilliant surgeon fixed it six years ago. Well this last few months it has started to not feel

My running addiction and knee pain
I haven't run for a whole week (for the first time since starting C25K in August) and I'm soooo miserable. Last Saturday's run was great - a steady 35 minutes with Laura's stamina podcast over a familiar route (mix of tarmac and grass and mostly level). Then on Sunday while pottering around in town I
