Post knee replacement - 09/09/2020
Hi, I've been put on Rivaroxaban post surgery and have small blisters appearing round wound dressing (no idea if they are under the dressing; can't see). I was told they were due to pressure of moving around post surgery, and were harmless, but being curious and reading more, I've found they can be due

A Time for Everything
My MS can be challenging at times to absolutely miserable but life in the world has been challenging and hard for many. I find myself not looking or reading about DMTs, or my usual MS forums or magazines. When I do look at those magazines and I see the new faces, just like I mine, 30 or so years ago.

Still in pain after tkr 18 months ago
Got my tkr (total knee replacement) 18 months ago. I had to endure 2 manipulations because u could not bend my knee. After intense PT I am okay in that sense; however, the pain is intense and comes every 4 to 5 hours. It's an intense static numbness pain, and when it hurts the most is when I feel the

Please don't do what I did
Hello everyone, it is so nice to communicate with RLS friends because you all know how awful it is to deal with. I have had RLS for so many years now that it seems like forever, and I'm 74. Many times when I was freaking out because I was so tired from not being able to lie down and walking around

My brother in law
My brother in law Sandy went in for a knee replacement and had a heart attack and is in heart failure. They’ve stabilized him but it doesn’t look good. Please keep in your thoughts and prayers.

Knee twinges
Hi all! I haven’t been on here for months because, well, I’ve not been in pain! I had TKR at the end of January and haven’t looked back. BUT, over the past couple of weeks I’ve had painful, sharp twinges when I put weight on the replaced knee. I’m getting quite stressed and worried, and am reminded of

How are your knees when you go down stairs?
So, my knees are bone on bone and OA . I get steroid injections every 90 days in them but they don't give me much relief anymore. I am 63 and was told by a Dr. 15 years ago that I should have knee replacement surgery. I have been toughing it out. Winter is worse than summer. But stairs....the act of

Pain from PMR or Osteoarthritis?
I was diagnosed with PMR 6 years ago, and got down to 5mg Pred about 3 years ago. I’ve tried to go lower but never succeeded. I am nearly 84 and also suffer from Osteoarthritis. I had a hip replacement just over 5 years ago, which went wrong, and has left me with a limp and backache after walking or

Knee replacements and RA
Hi I’ve recently had total knee replacements (aged 61) because of Osteo and RA. All going reasonably ok until Covid and I suspended biological meds. Back on them now and blood tests all seem fine, except ESR a little over normal still. However the knees feel very solid and have been a bit puffy. Walking

Addition to first post
Hi again. Thought I should probably add that due to my OA I had a full knee replacement in 1999, lifespan of the joint, was only estimated to be 15 years and its still going well, fingers crossed it is going to remain happy. I also had bones in my left foot fused together about 8 years ago. So the onset

Update TKR
I am a month out of tkr . I was really worried that my lymphedema would cause my situation to be worse. However, it has been pretty good. When i woke from surgery, I was wrapped from thigh to ankle that helped to keep excessive swelling to a minimum. My knee is slowly doing better, but there are days
