Knee replacement
Hi,I heard yesterday that my surgeon has been allotted some theatre time (28thNov),I live alone and am rather worried about recovery especially the first week or so,any advice on coping after the OP would be helpful since at the moment I'm going to be alone unless lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Pred Tablets or Depo Injection?
I have had uncontrolled RA for nearly 3 years since switching to a biosimilar of enbrel. I've tried 2 rounds of rituximab and have really only been managing through a series of steroid treatments. I'm currently managing on 5mg daily and have been for 8 weeks. I'm due to start tocilizumab shortly but

Why wait for six years?
Just had phone consultation for RA. Having waited six months I was quite excited as I have been having real problems with my knee. I was told yesterday that baricitinib was working but I would need a knee replacement because of RA wear and tear. Then I was told that as a replacement only lasted for ten

TEVA Medications - not just a Thyroid issue?
Hi, this is just a general observation... I know some people on here have trouble with TEVA Levothyroxine products and recently I had knee replacement surgery. I was given codeine and paracetamol as painkillers for the two nights in hospital. Despite the 4 maximum doses I was given through the day/night

Surgery after knee replacement
I was diagnosed with PV 3-17 and only doing baby aspirin with occasional phlebotomy. I had right knee replacement done 3-19 and have a lot of swelling on the top part of knee but not the bottom. My new orthopedic has done a round of medication for swelling and on last visit did (very hesitantly) a Cortisone

COOLIEF (Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation)
Has anyone had COOLIEF instead of hip or knee replacement? If so, where? I live in Oregon and my hip is so bad the pain radiates down leg to my foot. My cane no longer can aid the pain.

Coming off Pred for an operation
In three weeks time I’m having a knee replacement and need to be off steroids as I have many other autoimmune illnesses, heart problems etc. I’m finding myself in a total mess emotionally and shaky and exhausted, which is not the same as a chronic fatigue crash. I’ll need to get the 2nd knee done

RLS post-op? Pain a symptom?

For my daughter
I have to say , upon learning my diagnosis a month ago, I felt alone and the world came crashing down on me. 2020 has been tough on me like so many others, Started the year off with a broken shoulder, then of course covid changed the world. Next I managed to get my knee surgery to replace my knee in

Surgery while taking Ibrance.
I am in a great deal of pain needing a knee replacement. As I understand, it is not recommended that stage 4 patients have major surgery whil on Ibrance and arimidex. Has anyone here had this type of surgery and if so did it cause progression? Thank you so much -Madlyn

PD, Knee Arthritis/Meniscus Tears & Hip Bursitis: Is their an Intersection?
Hello. Can anyone relate to this? Almost seven years with PD, the stiff/rigidity kind with no tremors, I am grateful to have managed really well to maintain a full, meaningful life with family and work, good attitude/keeping PD in stride with tons of exercise (social and solo). Seven months ago
