I am a month out of tkr . I was really worried that my lymphedema would cause my situation to be worse. However, it has been pretty good. When i woke from surgery, I was wrapped from thigh to ankle that helped to keep excessive swelling to a minimum. My knee is slowly doing better, but there are days that i have to take slow for I will notice alot of swelling and extra numbness in surgery leg. They stated it might take me a bit longer to bounce back , but im hanging in there.

Congratulations on having a new knee! I don't have lymphoedema, but work with it and see patients who very successfully manage to recover and deal with their swelling. I had a knee replacement in Jan 2019 and looking back, full recovery took 15 months. We're all different though, just take it slowly, do the exercises, walk and relish the end of that awful pain.
Delighted that your lymphoedema isn't worse as a result of your knee replacement, onwards and upwards xx
Congratulations and wishing you full and quick recovery. God bless you abundantly.
