I miss having a life
Anyone else miss having a life? You know...planning weekends and trips away but now (not even covid related) I can't plan anything. Two failed rounds of iui and so far one failed IVF (next embryo transfer is on Monday) but I never know how my body will be feeling so I just can't plan anything...and I

Second opinion
Hello. I was diagnosed with stage 1 endo via Lap in Nov ‘18. Since then I’ve had the Depo injection and now the coil since August last year. Since December I’ve had regular bouts of severe pain, where it literally leaves me on the floor or unable to move. I have pain when I urinate and urinate frequently

Do you have a cardiac device? Haiku time!
I know lots of us around here have a cardiac device (pacemaker, ICD, CRT-D/P, LVAD, mechanical valves, loop recorders, etc...) and I would love it if some of you were up for sharing your thoughts about living with a device over on my Hearty Tales project blog. Full details on the blog post here - https

IUI or IVF with donor sperm? Advice needed please
Hi all. I’m looking for some advice please. My husband and I are having to use donor sperm but we can’t decide between IUI or a round of IVF. We’ve been through 3 rounds of ICSI using my husbands sperm but we never get past day 3 so we’ve decided to try a donor this time. We have no experience with IUI

Copper coil cause Thrush?
Has anyone experienced long term thrush with the copper coil? I did the 6 months treatment (one pill a week) and whilst on that I was fine, I finished a couple of weeks ago and it's back. It's not full on thrush but enough to be annoying and making me uncomfortable. Its got to be linked with this! The

ICD vulnerable?
I am thinking of buying a telescopic hedge cutter, and wondered whether the motor vibration or electrical field might risk my ICD to fire? Would be grateful to hear the experiences of others, good or bad. Thank you.

Is the coil known to be more effective than the pill?
Hi all, I am a bit confused and wondered if anyone has had the same experience? Why is the Mirena pushed over the pill? My gynaecologist has put me on the Mirena coil that I’ve had now for about 4 months. I am not really enjoying it to be honest and have been having quite a sore stomach and I feel

Another Mirena question... Looking for reasurrance 🙄
A little update... Surgery planned for this thursday, notes issue sorted and no cancellation letter yet 🤞 Some of you know that I didn't get on too well with the mirena coil - fitted in January and then had a partial expulsion - removed 13th May. Had the most horrendous amount of bleeding afterwards

Tranexamic acid
What’s your experience of Tranexamic Acid? I’m currently on week 5 of heavy period after coming off everything a year ago. Had coil removed and stopped Zoladex injections to give my body a break from over 10 years of drugs. I wish I hadn’t. The pain I thought was quite intense is nothing compared to

Struggling
Hi Everyone, I thought I would come on here because it's hard to find anyone who understands how I feel. I am currently in my 2 week wait after my first try of IUI which happened on 3rd July. My test day is Friday 17th July and my emotions are getting more and more negative as the day draws closer.

Ladies, contraception and ET JAK2
Ladies, I was diagnosed by accident after going to the Doc for really heavy and painful periods. Paracetamol wouldn’t touch it and I can’t take Brufen anyway due to having IBS. So now I have a diagnosis of ET, I’m on 75mg aspirin which, as you’ll all be aware makes bleeding even worse and can’t be

COIL, HORMONES... PLEASE HELP
Hi everyone, I have been advised to take my copper coil out to put the hormonal coil in to manage symptoms that look like endometriosis. However, they haven't done laparoscopy so we aren't sure yet if I do have endo. It is confusing, frustrating and overwhelming, I am not a fan of the idea of putting
