Second opinion

Hello. I was diagnosed with stage 1 endo via Lap in Nov ‘18. Since then I’ve had the Depo injection and now the coil since August last year. Since December I’ve had regular bouts of severe pain, where it literally leaves me on the floor or unable to move. I have pain when I urinate and urinate frequently. I also have pain with bowel movements, both during and after. I had a scan in January and nothing was found apart from a small fibroid. My symptoms continued, I’ve noticed blood in my stool but tests have not shown anything. My Gyneacologist has now discharged me as he feels my endo is suppressed because at the time of my last appointment I hadn’t had a period since January. That was in May and since then I’ve had a period and I’m now on again. I had a call with my GP this afternoon as I feel like my bladder and bowels are now being affected. However he didn’t seem too helpful and basically put it down to an std or maybe a potential infection 😒 but I know that endo doesn’t always show up on scans. My question is how can I go about getting a second opinion from a another Gyneacologist? I try to exercise but I feel something isn’t right when I do abdominal exercises. I get really bad pains mainly in my right ovary and hip and lower back. It hurts to go to the toilet and I notice blood in my stool during my period. I feel so lost. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Ok thank you, I’ll try that. Do you think it’ll cost much for a private appointment? Money is a problem right now. But I think that’ll be my best option. Thank you so much for your reply xx

It will probably depend on the specialist I paid around £250 for mine x

In December I paid £200, best money spent. Shouldn’t have to though.

Good luck.

They should recommend an MRI to check as well.

I had no issues staying with same consultant switching to NHS.

You may want to wait for NHS for MRI, they can be pricey depending on perspective.

See what consultant says.
