New, Exhausted, & Afraid
I have given full permission to the school to allow my child to meet with the school social worker ongoing, and I have begun the process of having him meet with our local area major children's health association for more
intensive
care
and therapy as lower level counseling didn't seem to help.

Role of dietary fibre on LCHF Diet
As followers of LCHF diet, we are sometimes concerned about reduced intake of dietary fibre. We take some supplements also to make-up the shortfall. Here is a presentation on the subject by Dr. Paul Mason, which I think may be of interest to group members following LCHF. https://youtu.be/xqUO4P9ADI0

Breast cancer mets to peritoneal cavity only
Wondering if there is anybody else out there like me? Ascites was my first symptom and the side effects of having ascites. So far it is contained there. Wondering also if anybody has had hipec here in the USA for breast cancer mets to peritoneal cavity? Even if it was considered palliative care. Desperately

HER MAJESTY'S DIET
Queen Elizabeth II is going to be 93 next month. Would you like to know one of the secrets of her excellent health and longevity? That is her diet! Her diet can be described broadly as LCHF. It is not by design but by default. In the main meals (Lunch and Dinner) , strictly NO STARCH - no pasta, rice

Hospice / Pallative Care / Supportive Care for Blood Cancer patients is not suggested soon enough

unit admissions and death, and cancer treatments in the last weeks of life compared to patients with solid tumors,” the study authors wrote.

Post radiation psa levels
Nine months out from IMRT my psa results have dropped quarterly from 3.6 to 2.1 to 1.75 but recently only dropped to 1.68 a tiny amount. Apparently the prostate dying is the cause for the decreasing levels. My question is should I not be taking vitamins etc that protect myself from radiation as these

To Go Public or Not
In a recent thread, an off-topic conversation started that deserves discussion. Specifically, whether or not I, or you, or anyone else having an unfortunate medical condition, should go public with that information. Let me introduce myself. My name is Cary Jensen, and I was diagnosed with prostate cancer

LCHF saves the planet
Following on from the posts by Mike and S11m, here's my take on the ecological value of LCHF. While my title might be hyperbole, a low-carb, high-fat diet could dramatically improve end-to-end farming efficiency and make the world a slightly nicer place. Unless the politicians get their teeth into it

My Experience With Melanoma
Obviously, my name is Ryan. I am 28 years old. I currently have stage 4 melanoma. I will share my story in order to help those whose path intersects mine. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask. The time I have been blessed with is best used helping others. When I was 21 years old I was abusing

Things are changing rapidly
In my last report I had just received my first PSA result over 1.03 (3.70) and had my water works pack in. On 20 November I had surgery to sort things out. This showed that my cancer had now spread to the outer sphincter and blocked off the urethra. I had a Supra-pubic catheter inserted in my bladder

Issues resolved at last!
Hi Folks I am sorry for the long absence. Essentially Liz sustained some bruises and accused a member of staff of harming her. That was five months ago. The Social Services put restrictions on both the staff and myself whilst they investigated it. I had seen Liz that day and so had 'opportunity' and

Damn the Torpedoes Part 2. Impact of exercise on a low calorie, LCHF diet.
Generally speaking, the average woman needs 2000 calories; men 2300. For the sake of simplicity, we’ll just use 2300, which will include basal metabolic requirements (just living breathing, repairing, digesting etc) and basic everyday mundane activity, but excludes exercise. We need 2300, but are

Questions for follow up visit?
I have moved and need to set up a local urologist so I have an appointment with the guy who did emergency surgery on me when I was assaulted in the local ER room by a horrible doctor. Damn the Torpedoes Part 1. Introduction.
Ok folks, on the back of my previous post here’s my program for the coming two or three weeks. This was to have been one long post, but as there is a lot of ground to cover, I will break it up into more manageable chunks. But before we go there here’s a little background. I am 69 years old, weigh 176

Hello All. 59 years old. DX PCa in July 2018 with Gleason 9 (4+5). PSA 87. Mets to bladder, around right kidney, basically the whole pelvic area including pelvic bone, left hip socket, left shoulder socket. Quite a mess. Put on ADT immediately. (Firmagon -then switched to Lupron a few months later
