Help.. confused and concerned daughter.. Sepsis.. PSA Levels fluctuating
Hello Everyone, I'm sorta new here (been around since 2017 but just decided to ask a question for the 1st time). My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer back on December 26, 2017. I don't recall exactly what his PSA levels were at that time but I want to say high 700 or 800's? He is 77, has

Another PSA test
Had IMRT as well as brachytherapy in 2013 for Gleason 9 PC. PSA was very low for while but recently has increased. I just had another PSA test in anticipation of a visit to my urologist. I moved from where I had the treatment and the urologist and will be int he area soon so ... I was hoping that the

Why LDL cholesterol goes up on LCHF diet and is it bad for health?
Following LCHF diets raises HDL level, lowers triglyceride, lowers insulin and increases LDL cholesterol. While first three are considered beneficial, there is concern about high level of LDL cholesterol. The presentation below by Dr Nadir Ali, concludes we should celebrate high LDL level because it

Taxol and fatigue
Hi All. I apologize if I already posted on this but the amount of fatigue I am experiencing on Taxol (3 weeks on 1 week off) is getting to be a lot. Most days I don’t feel as though I can get out of bed. My palliative care NP is thinking to change my pain meds over to methadone from opioids. She said

Talking to professionals - not.
It’s always stated on here that it’s best to talk to the professionals if you are confused. The subject popped up again in my news feed today. Well, my GP advised me to request my appointment to have a discussion around my confusing prognosis and lack of a treatment plan to be reinstated (it was cancelled

Everyday is a struggle
Morning, I have had AFib for many years now (a lot of those were drs not believing what was going on so no treatment. I’m in the uk) finally caught it on ecg in 2008 and had ablation which worked well for 4 years and then it came back. I am 36 and for the past year have been feeling awful everyday.

Update on my disease: <0.1 PSA today
I haven't posted anything since my first post last October. Today is a good day for an update as I just finished radiation therapy and got my latest test result showing a <0.1 PSA! This is down from a high of 345 in early October. My initial biopsy confirmed Gleason 9 (4+5) in two cores and all cores

An Update On My Father's PCa - Test Results/Treatment Plan
This is an update regarding my 79 year old father who was recently diagnosed with PCa (Gleason 9, PSA 14.1, 12 core biopsy, all of which contained cancer). Drug interactions with eltroxin
I am now down to 1 Zydol each day and I'm just wondering if they interact with eltroxin and if that's why my thyroid is kicking up or is it a mix of all the drugs pumped into me after the operation and me spending 4 days in

Impact of family death on PSP
Hi My dad who lives with us, has been diagnosed with PSP last Nov (confirmed) and we have been providing care within the family for last 2-3 years since his falls onset. It took a long time for diagnosis. At present he is wheelchair bound. We provide toileting, showering, clothing and bedtime care.

I am rigidity- dominant PD ; My personal experience!
I am rigidity -dominant PD and like other PwPD my main issues arise when imbalances between Acetylcholine and Dopamine and other neurotransmitters occur. I think we are either Dopamine- dominant or Acetylcholine- dominant( my case) PD. 📍📍Note: The DaTSCAN image doesn't belong to me and that's for

I think this couple may have issues :-)
I think the lady is on a very high carb, no calorie restriction diet. I think the man is on a LCHF diet.
