I went for a review which I usually go for every 6 months, my consultant thinks I need another laparoscopy as he suspects regrowth of endo. I don’t particularly want this as I am due to start IVF in June but by having the op it gives me a better chance of success, but I also had serious complications in my last operation where I was in intensive care. I had negative pressure pulmonary Odema, this is of course another risk I have to think about.
Hi Abs I’m in a similar situation to you as in I’m due my second lap in april and my first lap was awful had complication and needed emergency surgery a few days later to drain off a 2 and half litre bleed and this caused one of my lungs to collapse so as you can imagine I’m very nervous about my second one🙈 hope it goes well with you x
Yeah my lungs filled with fluids so they described it’s as I was deprived of oxygen, I apparently bit down on my own breathing tubes, I hope all goes well with you too!! X
That’s good then hopefully they will get things sorted for you☺️
Try not to be I had my 3rd lap and it went well I was anxious before hand but it’s normal to say what’s happened before have you got good support? Xx
The surgeons are taking a different approach, something do with the oxygen, the gas they fill you up with, but whatever approach they’re going to take I can’t settle my mind. And I do yes, thank god! I hope your okay after the 3rd lap. I can’t even think about future ones right now 😔 xx
