recommendations needed for a pressure relief cushion
I need advice / recommendation for a pressure relief cushion. The combination of my Interstital lung disease worsening, weight loss, and a current flare of my Rheumatoid Athritis means that I am more sedentary than ever before. This means that my bottom is getting sore. I’ve searched online, prices appear

Hi Everyone, me again! I have posted a few times on here now about my mum and her ICU stay. She seems to be improving, got her tracky out on Wednesday and no longer requires any additional oxygen help. She is sitting up in a chair for a few hours a day and has sat at the edge of the bed. One problem

Palliative care only
Dear All My appointment with my oncologist today went as expected but unhoped for. To put it bluntly, she has told me that she has done all that she can do for me. All anti-cancer treatment is being withdrawn, leaving me with palliative care only. She thinks I might see some of 2024, but less of it

Palliative care only
My appointment with my oncologist today was not what one might hope, but what I knew was coming. She has done all she can for me (please don't try telling me of alternatives; we discussed them at length and came up blank with each one). So, with all anti-cancer medication removed, I have nothing but

Palliative care
My health has taken a nose dive over this last year. My consultant has put me on palliative care. He says no more lung function tests or CT scans, a triple function inhaler instead of three inhalers and full time oxygen instead of ambulatory. What else can I expect from palliative care? What can

I don’t understand
hi My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021 after a few years of dizziness and balance problems , over the 2 years since diagnosis things have changed dramatically, he went from balance issues and stooping to using a stick, he was seen by a urologist for wee retention and was given catheters

bowel obstruction
hello, my Mum is now in palliative care (12 days) for a total bowel obstruction because of a 6 sigmoid volvulus. At 92 an operation is not possible. Almost two weeks now and so far she is coping remarkably - her tummy is huge but otherwise only moderate pain now and then and a need to pee quite often

Mum with CBD
Good morning It's been a while since I wrote on here. My mum got diagnosed with CBD in 2017 we were told in January 2020 she had 4 weeks left to live and was moved into a care home for palliative care. Thankfully she is still with us. Hasn't eaten and been bed bound now for 4 years. She survives on 6

Palliative care survey for less survivable cancer patients & loved ones (UK)
📣 The Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce have launched a vital survey to amplify the voices of people affected by a diagnosis of liver cancer and the less survivable cancers. The survey aims to provide insights so they can lobby for improvements to palliative care services, and to highlight any good

Ablation for VT
It never had before, then the following day I went into full blown VT, received 8 shocks from the device before they turned it off, failed Cardioversion, then rushed to
intensive
care
. Anyway, I have been in hospital for over three weeks of the last six.

pluvicto?
any feed back about the befits of Pluvicto? Is it a miracle drug? Andy Taylor from Duran Duran cured after being palliative care? Many people sending me articles about it. Right now approved for castrate resistant pCA?
