Dealing with the next chapter.
It’s been a week since we found out that mums treatment wasn’t working. She made the decision that she wouldn’t try a fourth option as it could prove more damaging, especially as she’s feeling relatively well. She’s got slight breathlessness, nothing too bad just noticeable if she walks far or talks

Just needing some validation
My adult son, age 34, suffers with neuro Behcets and has horrible pain. He is on palliative care. He has eye problems, lesions, arthritic pain, balance issues and chronic mouth sores. He is depressed and feels alone. I tried to connect with the Behcets community in the US but it’s not responsive. He

Hi. I'm new to forums and new to PMR and slightly shell shocked with my diagnosis.
My eldest daughter has ulcerative colitis and ended up in
intensive
care
following an emergency resection of her bowel and has ended up with a permanent ileostomy. She is now well and healthy. Then covid hit and that has been very frightening and scary and incredibly hard work.

PSA from 0.15 to 2.42 in 12 months; but no metastasis?
Asking advice and thoughts on my situation. I'm 5 years post IMRT to prostate and pelvic LN in 2015. Original PCa diagnosis in 2012 with Gleason 9 (4+5), Stage 4 ('locally advanced', no mets). Three cycles of ADT (4-6 months each) from 2012-2016. From Aug 2019 to Aug 2020 PSA went from 0.15 to 2.42.

Questions for the RO for my upcoming video conference regarding options for early salvage treatment (and ADT) after Radical Prostatectomy?
I had my radical prostatectomy (RP) on 6/3/2019. Given my pathological results (see below for details) and the definite trend in my PSA levels over the last 18 months (see graph below), my surgeon now thinks I should pursue early salvage radiation therapy and I agree, but now trying to decide on the

Supplements to take during IMRT while on Zytiga
Hello all, my husband has just started 5 weeks of IMRT to the abdomen based on Axumin scan which revealed a 1.8 cm avid retrocaval metastatic lymph node. He has been on Zytiga since September 2019. PSA is now at 6.18, up from 3.6 two months prior. I’ve seen several posts on supplements to take while

Side effects of IMRT?
I get my gold beads (fiduciary markers) on Dec. 4, 3030 and begin intensity modulated radiation therapy soon after. What were your experiences? Side effects? Diet? etc. Thanks.

IMRT delay? Significant?
I am presently in my 2nd month of ADT (Firmagon), and as a result after 1st month my PSA went from .16 to <.01 (undetectable) and T from 128 to 19. Due to the spike in Covid...and some insurance issues....instead of starting Dec. 21 (just before the holidays)....we are looking at moving it to mid to

"High-Fat" or "Healthy-Fat"
It's often said on HU that this approach should be called "Healthy-Fat". Though the fats we eat should be healthy, I think "Low-Carb High-Fat" is the right name. A name doesn't need to explain every tiny aspect of the plan, just enough to show what it is. Once you cut the carbs, you either go low calorie
